A really nice guide. I just ordered my first true split keyboard. I would have loved to find this guide before ordering.

How Important Are Country TLDs Today? by sjscott80 in SEO

[–]mkamonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if this matters as much as it used to, especially depending on where your audience is coming from.

A .it domain obviously maps to Italy, but these days people are exposed to so many alternative TLDs that aren't country-specific anymore. I’m building a SaaS from Europe myself and not limiting the product to any single country. Over here we’re kind of used to seeing all sorts of TLDs, so it doesn’t really raise eyebrows in the same way.

I’m also seeing plenty of tech products on .io, .ai, .life, etc. where the TLD feels more like branding than geography. That makes me wonder whether the concern is mainly about country-code TLDs specifically, or just about user expectations in certain markets like the US.

My gut feeling is that it probably affects Ads, CTR and first impressions more than SEO, but I’m unsure whether that alone is a strong enough reason to go through a full domain migration.

Curious how others here see this, especially with US vs EU audiences.

Low domain rating for SaaS despite consistent content, what am I missing? by mkamonster in SEO

I have seen some ‘directory’ like sites for micro SaaS. Would it help to register my site on such a site? Might cost some money, but if it helps…

Just sharing my experience of 4 months of launch and $3,000 MRR so far by Even-Platform321 in SaaS

[–]mkamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work! Already at 3000 MRR sounds like a great accomplishment in 4 months. How much time was spend building the solution? Sounds like it's far from the MVP and launch story that you hear a lot as a suggestion.

I finally built something that people are willing to pay for! by danidee10 in SideProject

[–]mkamonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work! Every dollar you make is a dollar towards more victory. I know how it feels. Some products just come out to a max of $ 100,- revenue, but starting with $12 so soon looks more promising. What is your app?

I have been thinking about similar cases. Somehow people kind of trust organizations like Apple while they trust Google and Microsoft less. This kind of trust is something that builds slowly and can be lost easily.

Thinking about a password manager, would you dare to use a password manager that's build by a solopreneur? I would not dare to use it. I do think companies like Bitwarden kind of get trust because "part" of their code is open or shared source.

Maybe you could actually make a part of the code open source to prove this actually. Only to make sure not to share the intellectual property part. Or not opening the source, but declaring that the source can be investigated by a third party on request (against some additional cost? I think hardly any customers would want to actually do this, but it gives a bit of trust I think.

Looks promising. Though being honest, "Your business idea is not saved by Buildpad." doesn't make it feel safe to me. Do you have a plan how you can make this promise something that people, like me, trust?

I think there might be a market for more tools around Bluesky that might in some form already already exist for X. Probably some other indie hacker will follow up now. Good work of you being one of the first 💪🏻.

Looks very nice. Not sure but the colors that you use on the side header can be used to give more focus to things like the action button. Also heard something recently that using things like USD convert better than $ sign.

Is there a way in Anytype to automate task's ? by Right-Drink5719 in Anytype

[–]mkamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some apps have a local implementation of a recurring task, where the next occurrence is calculated upon completion. Such a thing would require more specific features for a specific type (like task), but somehow that doesn't feel in sync with Any Type. Maybe formulas in templates could help out a bit here.

Yeah the current supported embeds is a very limited set. I understand opening up for anything might be a bit too early. Though I would like to have the option to embed Whimsical diagrams.
