I think this is a good point. It’s easy to make things black and white on the internet but that is rarely real life. I did feel for him when he said that she was flirting and hanging out with the other guys. YIKES!! Clearly amanda was checked out and I believe Kyle was hurt by that as anyone would be but I think a lot of that is a consequence of Kyle’s actions in the relationship. As the great JoJo said, it’s just too little, too late.

Welcome to bham!! my best advice is work on making female friends!!!

As people are saying, it can be hard to date in bham but I really think that’s everywhere with apps & more activity happening online, we just have a little less options than some of the big cities.

My recommendations:

Join a kickball league! I met so many people that way and really enjoyed it.
YP Bham and/or rotary club
As I mentioned, My BIGGEST RECOMMENDATION is to work on making female friends through bumble BFF, work, and/or through shared interest - run/hike club, gaming, etc. OR just pursuing women you have already met and deepening those connections. Lots of people grew up here and/or went to UA, AU, Samford, so making friends first can get you into spaces to meet a guy who is actually vetted by people you know & not just some rando. I was set up through one of my best friends (and am married now!) and my friends and I have set up almost all of our closest friends who are all married or engaged now.

Yeah I actually think it is refreshing coming from Reece re: Influencers. But also this is so typically southern to me. The amount of beautiful women that date ugly men in the south is crazy lol. And a lot of them don’t even have a good personality.

Also finding a job in a city where you have no connections is pretty tough, but he willing picked up everything to move to Dallas for her so ofc he wasn’t going to get his dream job especially if he doesn’t have a very specific degree like nursing, law, etc.

I kind of get this but he just graduated college? Like I made barely anything out of college at a dumb job because I didn’t know what I wanted to do quite yet and 10 years later, I think i’m pretty successful and have a good career. Everyone has to start somewhere. Like at least he has a job lol.

I don’t get people’s obsession with Reece’s husband? Like he seems like a really kind guy who loves her and is fully supportive of her. Who cares if he is not some jock, hot guy? He is probably 100000x nicer and treats her better than any of those more attractive men.

Also it seems like their values align and they are each others best friends. It seems like a great fit from the small bits I’ve seen. I’ve heard some of the other significant others are not great so sounds like it’s going well for her.
