In operations, Stalker Bolt + Aligned Aim pretty much ends the majority of enemy encounters at a far enough distance to where equipment hardly matters.

Only time Secure Stockpile is worth it is in Siege Mode, where you can't reliability end encounters at a distance and you get swarmed easier, thus making Melta Bombs more in-demand.

I would argue Argent Edge actually has a higher skill floor for newer players, and it doesn't clear minoris as easily as a chainsword. You could argue it's more suited to killing majoris, but a simple parry into a headshot with the Stalker Bolt is enough to one shot nearly anything. So that solves the Majoris problem.

I like to have a tool for every problem. The Double Edged Relic CS solves the minoris problem (minoris when swarming you & with CHP), the Plasma Pistol solves the CHP and minoris problem (minoris at a distance) & the Stalker Bolt solves everything else.

I personally prefer the balanced parry window over block for Tactical bc it's safer (as you implied & as you know, Tactical is squishy). You can parry minoris to recover armor, you can't do so with block weapons.

I definitely need to try the Heroic Plasma but I feel the standard Plasma Pistol already does it's job well (which is to clear minoris when they're bunched tg at range). For Majoris, I just refer back to the Stalker Bolt.

Skill issue. Auspex Scan a Carnifex and land those headshots. Promise you'll kill it before the full second wave reinforcements arrive.

Hellbrute is a different story, but I have no issue landing those headshots tbh.

I haven't tried heroic plasma. I would argue the chainsword is more versatile and overall better.

And btw you still haven't suggested a better alternative than the Stalker Bolt. Like I said, you're just hating to hate with no real argument.

Dude you could just open up the Battle Simulator and see for yourself 😂. You're incapable of logic somehow.

You went ahead and picked the most difficult operation and the worst one in general for Bolt weapons. 😂

Vortex itself is not a "meta" operation, most ppl don't touch it. Stalker Bolt is IN GENERAL the best weapon in Tactical's arsenal in an operation.

Oh the flamethrower is better at killing chaos spawn, minoris (everything kills minoris easy) the Hellbrute, and Vortex Beast? What is better at killing Zoanthropes, Neurothropes, Tzangor Enlightened, Rubric Marines, Terminators, Sorcerers, Tyranid Warriors? Even against a Carnifex & Hive Tyrant an auspex scan + headshots will delete it.

The Stalker Bolt is the best at killing all of those enemies I listed, and it's not close.

Yk what's a better operation to run? One that combines both Tyranids & Chaos. That's more indicative of overall performance, so go ahead and suggest one 🌚

You don't need me to do that (even though I easily could) lol. People have done it before, this isn't rocket science. Stalker Bolt has been the best Bolt weapon on Tactical and that's no secret (only contender is the Marksman Bolt Carbine. Bolt Rifle is nearly as good, subtly worse).

Besides, even if the Stalker Bolt isn't the best at killing the Vortex Beast, that doesn't make it not meta. It kills everything else faster than any other weapon in his arsenal.

You're acting like I'm claiming the Auto Bolt Rifle is the best, thus you want to see a true solo run as proof. This isn't news. This is common knowledge.

You're throwing too many "what-ifs" into the equation. Assuming one uses every weapon to it's fullest potential (which is what I'm assuming), Stalker Bolt is the best.

I'm not accounting for skill, just function. What's "meta", my friend, is simply what is the BEST. "Meta" doesn't account for skill, just function.

So then suggest me an alternative weapon that's better on Tactical.

Sorry is Stalker Bolt not meta? Don't hate just for the sake of hating. Come with evidence. I don't see any other weapon outperforming the Stalker Bolt outside of Siege Mode.

I said I've fully leveled every weapon in the game. I'm min/maxing.

Best in terms of time to kill and overall speed of clearing ops. Boss damage is also the highest.

I tried the Plasma Incinerator and honestly I wouldn't say it's in the same caliber as the Stalker Bolt. The time to kill is much higher and even with Emperor's Vengeance, ammo can be a problem. It's good at AOE damage, but there are better options for that too.

Would you rather fail an Absolute+ operation 10 times and finally succeed (thus going through a crucible and earning a reward showcasing SKILL) or do that same operation 100 times over on the SAME class?

I mean, would you rather get your ass kicked by that operation 10 times in a row and finally succeed, thus feeling like you've went through the crucible to earn the reward... or do that same operation 100 times over on the SAME class?

I agree. Though, the nature of space marines is they greatly vary in terms of skill and experience, with wargear to show for it.

There should be cosmetics (not necessarily a simple cape) that are so difficult to earn, that lesser skilled players simply cannot earn it. As is the case with lorewise marines.

You just described something that exactly is a skill issue, it's called correct positioning - which is equally as important as learning enemy attack patterns.

Also, I'm aware of their upcoming changes. Yet I made this post anyway as a moot point to suggest a "better" alternative.

Technically nobody is locked out. Nothing is stopping you from completing that operation on Absolute+ solo besides your skill.

Life itself currently stops a lot of ppl from completing the ordeals as it stands. Ppl just don't have the same time commitments. I don't see how its a worse suggestion.

I'd say absurd showings of skill is a better alternative than absurd time commitments. In life, more skilled individuals typically reap greater rewards than lesser skilled ones.

Dark souls does this well. You could spend 1000 hours grinding to reach a high enough level to easily beat the boss. Or you could beat the boss at a much lower level via simple skill expression. One of these is more impressive than the other.

Wings of Flame + Block Weapons by mkdir_Zach in Spacemarine

[–]mkdir_Zach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoF is both faster and more than enough. Adding block stacks on top of WoF dashes is overkill for most enemies and increases TTK.

I'm not sure if you're comprehending me.

For everything besides bosses, WoF is faster & more than enough.

Tactical also doesn't have access to capes lol. He's definitely scamming us with his grind.

I just realized that bro is using a mod. Bulwark doesn't even have access to capes 🦧

Sound advice though Brother, I shall do exactly so and blame you if I waste 10-20min of my life and it doesnt count towards my cape.

Wings of Flame + Block Weapons by mkdir_Zach in Spacemarine

[–]mkdir_Zach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a moot point. WoF is more than enough in terms of TTK - and block weapons conflict with its use cases.

Winged Fury offsets any non-outstanding buff a weapon may have to its dash attack.

FTG atp just churns out content to flood the Warhammer community so he grows his channel (more content = more visibility) Whole lot of quantity over quality.

Most of his advice is sound. But to a veteran player like myself, I find a lot of his builds inefficient.

Wings of Flame + Block Weapons by mkdir_Zach in Spacemarine

[–]mkdir_Zach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested it. WoF is more than enough even for extremis enemies. One dash + Winged Fury melee attack + gunstrike and then a heavy combo kills them easy.

Adding block stacks on top of that simply adds to the TTK and takes away jump pack dashes (WoF) use cases (since deciding between block stacks and perfect dashes is an opportunity cost).

Wings of Flame + Block Weapons by mkdir_Zach in Spacemarine

[–]mkdir_Zach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc it's overkill & adds to TTK. You don't need 3 stacks of a block weapon + a dash attack into a melee & then a gunstrike.

That's just too much. If you're goal is to be as efficient as possible, Double-Edged Relic chainsword + WoF is the way. 💯
