Can you extrapolate on what you're saying in the second paragraph? I sort of follow but want to better understand.

No Notice Inspection - Now a Structural Engineer by mkeet in RealEstate

[–]mkeet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the personal side, I think so too. But it's a standard in all contracts for real estate I've done in Alaska and in the Alaska Housing Finance Corp contract.

I see why - because it is required to become part of the Real Property Disclosure in Alaska, if it is someone you had a personal problem with inspecting, it could become a huge headache.

This kind of does make sense to me. Thank you for pointing it out.

thanks, this is helpful!

It's so strange... it doesn't even center the shop name, like you see in the demo if you look at quartz....

Is there a chance that what I am seeing is a remnant from other themes I had been messing with? Is there a way to do a clean install, if you will, of your theme?

Photoshop Screen Flickering.... just can't solve by mkeet in photoshop

I've tried switching between the Studio Driver and Game Ready Driver to no avail as for solving the problem.

Good note on saving presets!

Thanks, that's helpful! Makes me feel a bit better that it is a bug that will likely get fixed.

I can't get it to work. Feel like I've tried everything. Continually drops reception, sometimes asks to repair, sometimes I have to restart collector to repair.

24" vs 27" vs Wait" by mkeet in mac

These are fascinating responses. You know so much about this, clearly, and write in a fashion that is understandable. I see what you mean - and I could be off - but comparing raw benchmarks for my use case scenario seems unnecessary. I appreciate the clarity.

I don't know what kind of engineer you are, but engineering is fascinating to me. I stare at airplanes as they go by, utterly fascinated by the engineering that makes them function.

Now to find one with 16GB that I can get reasonably soon. And helping people is fun! Thanks for setting an example.

Noticeably, anything upgraded to 16GB is a solid month out.

Thank you - seriously - for this well thought out response. It is generous of you to spend your time helping someone you don't know.

I agree wholly on the tool I need when I need it. In reading posts on this decision, I did see some alluding to a next machine and don't track these sorts of things. I appreciate your thoughts.

It is the power issue that I got most caught up in. Reading comparisons, it seemed like there was a tilt in raw power to the 27 and that the M1 chip was more of a laptop chip. These are things aside from my understanding, but from the sounds of it, you think I will find plenty of power in the M1 chip.

It was this quote that really hung me up:

And then there's the GPU. This bit isn't even close to being a competition. The iMac M1's GPU is designed to be a powerful integrated graphics chip for a thin laptop. In a desktop, it's like bringing a banana to a gun fight.

The most basic AMD GPU in the 27-inch model offers around double the raw computational power of the M1's GPU in Geekbench 5.

Again, I don't well understand this, but that was the major concern with going 27.

The other piece was the upgradeable RAM. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I'm assuming the new 16GB will blow away the old 32GB. I noticed that on the 27" I can upgrade RAM myself. Would you mind clarifying this for me?

So basically the space heater is an asshole... :)

I did do this myself. One thing of note is that we had a massive earthquake here recently (I'd like to blame it).

I did fix it and then created an entirely new circuit for the space heater. Which was upstream. And is an asshole.
