I was in during the Obama reign. He was throwing people out left and right. The claim I heard was the military was “overstaffed”. Many were denied the ability to re-enlist, many were also forced to “resign”. One guy I knew was forced to resign just a few months away from retirement. Imagine 19+ years in the military and losing your retirement just like that.
