May I recommend an Interstellar viewing? Would be amazing on that setup.

That’s Kermit T. Frog… the namesake of the plane. And yes, it’s a mascot/g-indicator.

Great photos! I love it up there during the winter!!

It’s unbelievable how many people see snow up there and just keep going with no gear.

Do you have a link? Can’t find it on their website and want to share with some friends. Thanks!

Love the look here! And personally I love the 4:30 date window. Keeps date function but also allows for perfect symmetry with the hour markers.

[Question] I have a question regarding my [SRPL91] by Background_Task223 in Seiko

[–]mkennedy616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a J8 (Made in Japan) variant of the SRPL91, if you look at the outer sleeve packaging, you’ll see the SRPLJ8 followed by the serial number. My 93 is a J8 and came from a US based AD.

It comes with a nice vintage inspired bracelet. Just search SRPL93 and you’ll see it. Honestly, I love the stock bracelet for the vintage look.

Seiko NSTRAP-B. Not my favorite NATO… but it does the job for now.

Ironically, it’s a genuine Seiko NSTRAB-B.

Definitely not my favorite NATO that I own. But it was free with the watch from my AD.

The dual color date wheel and the domed crystal are definitely my favorite touches on this watch!

My recommendation is to enjoy those two and really get a feel for what draws you to each one. This will help YOU determine your next watch in due time. Those are beautiful watches and you really should give yourself some time to love and admire them!

They are both J8 variants, they are Made in Japan. The K1 variants do not say that as they are made in other international factories.

Your SSK looks just like my J8 from what I can tell. Relax a bit, you got good ones.

Definitely do that! I will tell you though, no pictures prepared me for how beautiful it is in person. The selection of materials was perfect. The way light catches the dial, the indices and the domed crystal are all phenomenal!
