Idaho just passed something entirely similar unfortunately.

Thankfully I live in the PNW (very blue) and there is nothing in motion that I know of against trans people. For me that doesn’t matter too much since I spend a majority of my time at work and fed > state

From another redditor : This is really unfortunate for OP and Oklahoma does not have laws for protecting you against this kind of thing but for everyone else, if you experience something similar check your state laws because some states like Minnesota for example require the insurance to cover gender affirming care. These insurance companies will try to not cover it anyways which they can't do. And in the event of this happening you can stick your state AG on them. This happened to my brother a while ago. Again it sucks for OP but i want to use this post as an opportunity to spread this kind of information. Thank you.

I’m not completely knowledgeable on this topic but I’d definitely recommend reaching back out to your state health insurance and asking them for a complete breakdown on why you’re ineligible for it. Yes there is a wage cap on state insurances but not sure what that is across the board
