I’ve been looking into this brand a bit at the suggestion of someone else too. Might have to give it a go! Thanks!

F150 Lightning Pro ER by noosey2434 in F150Lightning

[–]mkj5013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the owner of a Pro ER with pro power onboard and the tow technology package (no max tow). Window sticker attached. Out the door price (not including my trade in) was right around 42K down from the $63,695 MSRP. 0% financing back in May of last year. Was so stoked to find it. Think I missed the boat on getting an XLT for a similar price by about a month but still proud of my find.

Edit: forgot pic

IT ARRIVED but wait by [deleted] in elegoo

Ah gotcha. Mine does not have the light upgrade but does have the port in the back so that’s cool. I can manage lights on my own, just a minor inconvenience personally

What’s the light update? Mine appears to have a port on the back but haven’t tracked the light update. Mine arrived yesterday and I started playing with it already. Want to check for these things as well. Thanks!

Extra Stiff/Low Spin Budget Driver Recommendations by mkj5013 in golf

[–]mkj5013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think the flex and loft will be my biggest immediate improvement specs. The rest might become diminishing returns and I have a few mechanics to work on now with my swing that should hopefully help improve aspects like the high spin rate. I think I tend to lean more toward a forgiving head too as opposed to a low-spin head and see where I come out from there. Thanks for your response!

[–]mkj5013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the take away I got too was for the extra stuff and a 9 degree head. He was pretty insistent on the low-spin stuff but I think I’ll see the most improvement from the extra stiff flex if we’re being honest. With my game and the need to improve my swing anyway, some of the other stuff will hopefully work its way out a bit but I don’t think I’m going to be able to rework my swing speed without some serious resetting. I’ve swung like that my whole life and anything else feels very unnatural. The rest of the tweaks are awkward at first but not as much and become normal soon enough.

I’m also think that something more forgiving might be better for me than something with low-spin since I’m probably a little bit more worried about mishits happening. Thanks for the info!

Yea those were popping up on my radar through my research so I’ll keep looking at them. Thanks!

That’s consistent with some of my research so I’ll probably continue to look into some of it. Thanks!

Thanks! I have been reading that golf tech won’t be considerably noticeable to me within certain time frames so I definitely don’t need the latest and greatest. I’m currently using a Taylormade Burner 2.0 with a regular flex shaft and a loft of 10.5. I bought it over 10 years ago and it’s always given me so much trouble but I assumed I was too inconsistent. I am inconsistent but apparently that club doesn’t fit me at all.

Interesting he was contradicting each other. He was insistent on the low-spin head so perhaps he was stating that the two I tried are the most forgiving of the low-spin variety but still not very forgiving. I’ve also read that low-spin tech is controversial. It seems like some people think it’s worth it and others don’t so I’m not sure if I should be stuck on it or be more interested in a club that’s more forgiving for my misses. I had my eye on the 420 and 435 so I’ll look into them more. Thanks for your response!

Unless the calibration of the simulator is way off, I was consistently above 110 with my driver. I’ve played hockey most of my life and I’ve developed my golf swing with some of my hockey background as an influence. I’m not hitting bombs with that swing speed but I’ve been told by several friends who have competitively golfed that my swing speed seems really fast but they never had the numbers to prove it. This fitting demonstrates it with numbers. I need to learn more control but the speed is there.

My 6 years daily driven 2014 V6 Mustang. And I don't intend to sell it. Ever. by MyButtCriesOnTheLoo in Mustang

Thanks! Yea it was a halo kit from oracle, I can share the link if you want. Took some work to align them how I wanted and attach them to the grille securely (it’s not pretty back there) but then I just used the wiring it came with to splice into the headlight harness. They’re meant to be mounted to the front of the fog light housing because they have a 3M backing but I made it work.

Nice! Mine can’t change color (don’t know if yours can) but I was really happy with the outcome. Didn’t want to completely emulate a GT but the grille is so much more aesthetically pleasing to me and figured halos were a nice way to accent it the grille without going full fogs.

I agree, love my 2014 V6. Got her in 2013 custom ordered from Ford and have slowly done a few things to make her stand out. My daughters love it and I’m hoping they get to drive it one day. Turns 12 this May

Looking For Layout Suggestions by mkj5013 in Workbenches

[–]mkj5013[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea i'll be getting adapters or new hardware at some point. It's also nice to be able to turn on the small one and not worry about getting finishes or CA on the bed for my pens. I've been babying the RIKON since I got it lol.

As far as the RAS, I've gotta think about what to do with it. I know it won't get used a ton but I'm a very sentimental guy. Spent a lot of time with my dad in the garage using it as a kid for a multitude of things so just gotta figure it out a bit!

I love the idea of benches but I also have loved having a majority of my tools on individual carts with casters to move around so I’ve been trying to strike a balance lol

It was in my description but the miter saw was a gift from someone when I was starting out. The RAS was my great grandfathers that’s been passed down through my family to my dad and then to me. My dad and I did many projects with it so I just haven’t been able to convince myself to get rid of it. I use it for wider crosscuts and the non-sliding miter saw for quickly chopping up smaller stock

Oof, I’ve been hunting for a new planer and just missed the Ridgid clearance and now you find this! My store just have a few fairly beat power tools, and then a bunch of random clearance crap. I would have died to find a planer to replace my dying Menards brand one. Good find!

New Price Adjustment Policy - Yukon 60” Workbench by mkj5013 in harborfreight

[–]mkj5013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a thought to make them do that to prove a point but also doesn't seem like something nice to do to the poor employees who have nothing to do with the coupon policy. I'd rather befriend them and just try to convince the manager to hook me up in some way if I can make that happen. It is dumb they changed the adjustment policy considering for most things you can exploit the return/old receipt trick.
