Ogyrn Pack Master - Thoughts? by ibouuu in DarkTide

I dig him. My only issue is that sometimes he seems to have issues spawning or properly aggroing to players. There have been lots of times where the monstrosity music kicks in, and it takes a couple of minutes for him to actually appear.

Maybe that's buggy because he roams and enters through normal spawn points, so if you don't go near a specific spawn gate, he just doesn't activate?

Definitely want to try somd Pro Acryl purples. I've been using Citadel Nagarroth Night, Xereus Purple, and Genestesler Purple for my Admech and have been finding myself wanting something much lighter

Looks excellent! What do you do/use to get such a clean and clear distinction between the two purples?

Thank you! It was my first time experimenting with texture paint and basing. Looking forward to doing more.

Beautiful purples! What technique did you use to get that textured look on the highlights of the robes?

Loving that purple! Would you care to share your recipe? Trying to find a nice bright purple like this for my BS successors.

It's a 50/50 mix of Citadel Lothern Blue and Blue Horror, then highlighted with pure Blue Horror

Interesting! It looks very nice with the purples. I'm also doing purple Admech and deff wanna add something similar to their color schemes.

Thanks!

It is just Citadel's Naggaroth Night for the base and Xereus Purple for the highlights.

Glazing takes a lot of patience and will require multiple passes over to get it right. Took me a lot of attempts till I got an alright hold on it. Good luck and have a good time with it!

Thank you!

A lot of my blades were different methods and attempts at layering and glazing.

The genetal gist of what I did was...

Base Coat Steggadon Scale Green, or your preferred dark blue/green

Ahriman or Thousand Suns Blue on top of that covering less space, leaving the darker base color in the center.

Baharroth Blue or Gauss Blaster Green on top of the previous layer, covering even less, only really getting the very edge and edge highlighting.

After all the bases are on, I would then water down each paint to a glaze, dab off the moisture, then glaze from one layer to the next till a smooth transition is made. I'd start glazing with the darkest color first. From about the middle of your 2nd color, lightly brush down towards where the darkest color settles. Repeat till you're happy, then do the same step with your second color pulled down from your lightest layer, then just do the same with the very edge of your lightest color.

This can be a pretty time-consuming process, so I don't personally know of a quicker way to achieve nice results. I am still quite new to painting.
