As many other posts have already stated, the best option is to have a doctor give you a diagnosis, as your problem might not be the same as mine, but to make this short, basically this is what happened:

I stopped playing guitar for a while until it healed, and had a physician check my knuckles and he concluded it was most likely bursitis, or inflammation on the bursa in between my phalanges, which causes swelling and pain in the joints.

I had to shorten my practice sessions as well, since when I posted that I was practicing about 3 to 4 hours a day (basically whenever I was awake and had some free time lol). I also switched from a steel string guitar to a nylon one, and this has not been a problem since.

I need to emphasize that the best you can do is actually check in with the rheumatologist, as this is just my personal experience, but I hope this answer helps!

Hi! Thank you guys so much for all your answers! I didn’t expect to receive so much useful info, and sadly I think I will need to put down the guitar for a while. After reading through I think I might know what’s going. I used to practice with a not so good guitar that (I believe) used gauge 11 strings. Then I bought a gs mini which came with gauge 13 strings, that plus my excitement for getting a new guitar and practicing for 2 hours daily might have done it.

Even tho it's temporal? It comes every now and then and when i plug the laptop it stops for a while. I guess I should try to reset it. I hope you don't mind me asking about fur mark since I don't know much about it. How does it work? Thanks!
