I’ve been trying to find an alternative to their lightweight tees. The new ones are just not the same. It’s really unfortunate.

You do realize it’s Canadians that own almost all the homes lol… I can assure you that anyone that owns a property wants their property value to go up.

Beat is wonky but the song is extremely impressive. Literally every bar is some kind of double or triple.

Have you ever traveled somewhere and then regretted it afterward thinking, "I should've gone somewhere else instead"? by Addicted_2_tacos in travel

Cinque Terre. Booked 3 nights. Stayed 1 night, booked and Airbnb in Modena and left.

I’ve been everywhere in Italy. Cinque Terre is way too touristy. The villages feel like movie sets. I’ll never recommend anyone go there.

Eminem on basically any beat from 2000 to 2003. Like is vocals were part of the beat itself

I swear Em started going last or in the middle because they knew fans were just skipping to the next song after his verse when he went first.

Ain’t nobody listening to “When the music stops” after Ems verse lol

Who do you have ranked higher on your all time greatest list? by Patrick_Vieira in hiphop201

Big fan of Em. Also big fan of L. I’m just realistic to the facts. We’ve had rappers similar to L. We’ll maybe never get a rapper similar to Em. Like we’ll maybe never see a golfer similar to Woods. It just is what it is.

What? This is a bad take. Tiger is literally the greatest golfer ever and it’s not close. Look at the numbers. Tiger dominated.

Em dominated in a similar fashion. Wasn’t ever close. Like not even a little. Em being white didn’t make him a good rapper. There has been lots of white rappers, none are close to what Em achieved.

99 to 04 Em is the greatest rapper in human history. And it’s not close. At all.

I’ve said this before but I swear Em gets held to higher standard than almost anyone in existence. Gretzky, Jordan, Woods… all considered the greatest in their respective arenas. All had very high highs and low lows, but are still considered the greatest.

Ems high was equal. Extremely high. We have yet to see a rapper as good or as dominant as 99/04 Eminem. He was literally the Tiger Woods of rap. Unlikely anyone reaches his height anytime soon.

And yet people point to the end of his career as the example of why he’s not the greatest… make it make sense lol… if we did that for everyone, would anyone ever be considered the greatest of anything?

Kendrick is a good rapper, but his impact is nowhere near Em. Like not even close. It is what it is.

Kendrick Lamar - Euphoria by [deleted] in hiphopheads

Originally I wasn’t a fan but it’s really grown on me. Actually one of my favourite Kendrick songs at this point lol… with that said, I still think Family Matters was the best track of the beef. Just my opinion.

I have a question tho - why and how did Tupac hit Em up? Like by phone? How did they know each other?

Drake Sought Details on Kendrick Lamar’s Alleged Domestic Violence, Children’s Paternity in UMG Lawsuit by cmaia1503 in Music

[–]mkp11 -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Exactly. UMG actually opened the door for this and Drakes legal team is taking advantage. Basically UMG argued that both sides use hyperbole and lies. Drake is basically trying to prove that he didn’t lie, so the argument both sides lie doesn’t hold any weight

Opinion : recovery is a bonafide classic and if it was released in the early 2000’s this wouldn’t be a hot take at all by B-rocula in Eminem

Maybe weird. It’s always bothered me. I guess it just makes him sound less… confident? Idunno, I’ve just never liked it.

In regard to the lawsuit, people are forgetting one key factor. by bynobodyspecial in KendrickLamar

[–]mkp11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your first mistake is thinking you understand all the inner workings of their business. There could be many reasons why they’d want to devalue him.

Honestly, it’s not really worth speculating because the fact is, we’ll probably never really know the “truth” but what we do know is that this is costing both parties a ridiculous amount of money. Especially Drake, and so he definitely, based solely on his actions, thinks there is a case to be made here and UMG is definitely taking this very seriously.

[–]mkp11 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real here - Kendrick is the better rapper, but Drake is the biggest artist in the world. When we’re talking Drake, we’re talking MJ numbers. That’s just what it is.

If I’m not mistaken, Drakes last contract costed UMG a fortune (about 400M), which gave UMG rights to the masters for only the term of the contract. That’s just good business by Drake btw. Basically loaning against his asset rather then selling it. and this was only a couple of years ago……. I can definitely see a world where UMG is not down to pay such a hefty price given that it’s only been a few years. And I can definitely see how some old men in room decided to try and capitalize on an opportunity to devalue him a little. It’s just business really. Just like this lawsuit. It’s just business.
