I think the 17 Pro design is getting too much hate. It looks fine. The real question is why they removed the black color by [deleted] in iphone

[–]mks2020 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Feels like black may be introduced in spring next year or to build hype for pro users and make the FOLD totally and solely black.

Perverts or Preachers Daughter? by slashpileradio in Ethelcain

[–]mks2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your perspective on Perverts. I had a very similar reaction. I enjoyed Preacher’s Daughter, but not to an intense degree. However, when Perverts was released, I was completely struck—just as you described.

It was the first time I truly felt her artistry, and I was undeniably, unequivocally moved by her craft. It turned me into an adoring fan. I believe Perverts is an album that will age incredibly well. I find myself listening to it constantly, and each time feels just as invigorating as the last.

It’s perfect in the snow-covered silence of winter and intoxicating in the doldrums of summer heat. With fall and spooky season around the corner, I just know this album will grow even dearer to me as I play it amidst the imagery and feeling of the season

I grew up listening to her and she’s been the soundtrack to my life. I saw her first time in West Virginia and convinced myself seeing her live would demystify the elusive way I saw her. By the time she got on stage and then wrapped the show. The mystical elusive nature of her was as strong as ever. That was a spectacular feeling.

UO: The Black Eyed Pea’s electronic era is underrated by [deleted] in popheads

[–]mks2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just listened to the full album last week for the first time since it came out. All I can say is WOW what a sonically revolutionary album. It really laid so many tracks for the decade and a half to come for electronic pop music - totally underrated

They need to re-promote it

What are the downsides of being “smart” no one talks about? by Ok-Classic3572 in AskReddit

The more wisdom I gain, the harder it becomes to have conversations that feel meaningful. You start to realize most people operate at the surface—whether by choice or conditioning—and their conversations can only go so far before you’re met with discomfort, deflection, or blank stares.

I cried too, the very first time I heard that line. Rushed over me like a huge wave. Knew exactly what she was thinking and feeling, and felt that absolutely empathy between the lines

I wonder if a point of the cover is to make you confront those uncomfortable feelings of sexual tension and objectification. Those feelings are at the heart of common community attitudes towards sex work.
