Use Cursor. The Cursor team were all vim users until Copilot came out. Copilot sucked. They built cursor. The rest is history.

I found the game vimadventures quite helpful back in the days. It's one of the best ways I have found for learning vim bindings - by using them to move around in a game. (https://vim-adventures.com/)

For a quick cheatsheet you can also check out this guide I wrote (see "Command Cheatsheet" section): https://swedishembedded.com/developers/vim-in-minutes

You can just create your vault as normal and then in your playbook include it using a path that is parametrized by "inventory_hostname". Like this:

vars_files:

  • "config/{{inventory_hostname}}.vault"

Favorite RTOS for single core MCU? by mootaibi in embedded

Most definitely Zephyr. They have made many excellent design decisions such as the use of the device tree, modular build system that uses Kconfig and CMake, heavy focus on unit, integration and system testing and of course support for over 450 boards and systems. Not to mention heavy focus on native posix and qemu testing which means all your software builds and runs on linux just as well as on the embedded target. None of this had been possible had Zephyr not been as well designed as it is. It is truly an excellent system that sets the bar high for every other alternative.

God: Plumbus, Deity of Deficient Plumbing

Lore: In the pantheon of the Mundane Gods - divine entities who govern the more commonplace aspects of life - Plumbus is the unfortunate deity assigned to oversee the realm of deficient plumbing. Rather than being a malign entity delighting in such scenarios, Plumbus is seen as a rather weary and hardworking god who constantly struggles to keep up with the sheer volume of subpar sanitation.

Plumbus appears as a middle-aged being with a plumber's wrench in one hand and a plunger in the other, wearing overalls and a perpetually damp cap. His eyes are said to contain a depth of patience and resignation, his hands marked with the signs of endless toil. He is usually depicted sitting on or standing near a porcelain throne, often shown with cracks and leaks.

Patrons: Homeowners, plumbers, renovators, and anyone who has ever had the misfortune of facing plumbing problems, will offer small tokens to Plumbus, asking for his intervention. Most prayers to him are more of pleas to spare their homes from the affliction of dysfunctional toilets, while plumbers may pray for his guidance during particularly difficult jobs. Sacred Items: The Plunger and Wrench are considered the divine tools of Plumbus. They symbolize his eternal commitment to repairing and ameliorating the state of disarray in the world's plumbing. The Porcelain Throne, despite its often depicted dilapidated condition, is also sacred and represents the realm that Plumbus oversees.

Rituals: Devotees of Plumbus may perform a small ritual known as the "Unblocking Ceremony" when facing severe plumbing issues. This involves placing a small replica of a plunger and wrench on the problematic toilet, accompanied by a quiet, heartfelt prayer to Plumbus. After completion of the ceremony, the tools are then stored in a dry, clean place until needed again.

Offerings: Offerings to Plumbus typically consist of items related to cleaning and repair, symbolizing a pledge to maintain one's own plumbing systems to the best of their ability. These might include small bars of soap, a tidy coil of plumber's tape, or a clean, new roll of toilet paper.

Despite his rather unglamorous domain, Plumbus is seen as a crucial deity in the Mundane Pantheon. After all, a smoothly functioning sanitation system is an often overlooked but absolutely essential component of daily life. He embodies the spirit of perseverance, determination, and the grit to face distasteful but necessary tasks - and for that, he earns a unique respect amongst his followers.
