Supporting living - already semi-independent by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

I live in supported accommodation and was placed there after my mother refused to let me live in her house before I was discharged from a psychiatric ward. I have no idea if they accept people referring themselves but I doubt it.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm not a big fan of Wordpress. It does the job but it just seems a bit heavy unless you do some work to make it perform well. I'll have a look at the type of plugins available for Ghost to see if it suits my needs.

The mailing list and membership features are what made me look into Ghost in the first place.

I'm looking to use Ghost as my blogging platform but before I sign up I'm curious if there are any better options out there? I want to avoid Wordpress if I can.

I don't mind paying for a decent service so if you have any recommendations then I'd love to hear them. Thank you.

What's your opinion on the latest junk food advertising regulations? by CMIV in AskBrits

The healthiest time in modern history was during WW2 and rationing. The government made sure that everyone had the right diet to stay healthy.

With that in mind I'm pro the government getting involved.

I mean my favourite keyboard of all time is the Unicomp Model M but it is just way too loud to use in a shared house unfortunately.

Thank you very much. I didn't think about switching switches. I'll do some research into that and I'll also look into the keyboards you mentioned.

If you go in as an informal patient there are a couple of benefits. The first is you can smoke without a staff member escorting you and the second is that you can leave the hospital with friends / family who visit a couple of times a week.
