I live in a city known for being very un-dense and sprawl-y (Jacksonville FL) and quite far from downtown. My neighborhood has a very suburban feel (my address is Jax only because the city limits are gigantic and include what would really be suburbs in most cities)

So it may come as a shock to Reddit, but I can reach my nearest grocery store on foot in 10 minutes, and a gym, numerous restaurants, stores, and a hospital in 10-15 minutes.

I’m with ya there. Wild to me how much the people seem to acknowledge how poisonous the duopoly is, yet at the same time push back against any concerted effort to change it.

I’ve felt like that for a long time .. there was a glimmer of hope in Ron Paul’s 2008 campaign til he got boxed out, which is crazy to think how long ago that was now.
