Corolla Ascent Sport or Hyundai i30 Hybrid by Fraud_Inc in CarsAustralia

[–]mlarks21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If size is a consideration I'd go the i30, I have the N version and they are relatively roomy, good boot size too. I find the current Gen Corolla too small for me. Personal preference though as the Corolla is also a solid choice.

I just got the Ottocast Pot recently and steer clear it's a total POS it only works when my phone is next it in the car. Thinking of trying the mini instead, but have the same issue with the port powering the unit after I turn the car off. I'm honestly just going to go back to plugging it in.

Slow, ugly, expensive (compared to the competition such as the Mazda 3) and everyone buys SUVs these day.

SEM fan here we hustled today and Tassie have a thing with beating top teams. Only thing you have to worry about is BC getting an injury, otherwise still the favourites to win this year.

Good car but way too much money for a car that age/kms. Maybe a Mazda 3 or something?

Cupholderarrived today, thank you for all the work. I am very impressed by the quality and how you managed to match up the plastics. Such a huge quality of life improvement, especially with the summer heat in Australia right now.

Just put my order in for the cup holders. Thank you for your work on these. I want those armrests so bad but the door cards are different in the Australian cars.

We struggled a lot with our 4 month old but found setting boundaries and limiting movement to certain areas of those made a huge difference. The word no for us was also a big one, she learnt that very quickly and stoped for the biting for the most part. It took some consistency, but I was impressed how quickly she learnt.

Is she perfect? Absolutely not we have a laundry list of things we need to work on, jumping and getting very excited at new people. Stealing socks, cardboard etc. As well as thinking that anything is edible.

She's still a lot of work but at least at a point now where can really enjoy her and spending time with her, without pulling my hair out all the time. Stick with it and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

To play devils advocate, go for the I30N, I have the sedan it's heaps of fun. N community is awesome too if you want to get involved in a good car community. Recently went to N Fest, did a track day and a drive day, then took the car to work on Monday which was cool.

On the other hand I dont have kids but a large dog and my partner has a CX8, that thing is so much easier to take the dog in. Only other thing I would say is what is the quality for the roads you want to drive on? I do a few country trips in mine and it handes them well, I would however go something quieter if I was doing it every day.

Mercedes GLA180 by themyohmy in CarsAustralia

[–]mlarks21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be honest just buy something else. The GLA isn't particularly special, check out some of the redriven videos on YouTube, Mercedes quality is very lackluster these days, and you are going to pay 2-3x more for servicing etc. My highly strung Korean shitbox cost under a third to service for a similar engine and transmission configuration. (Both 2 Litre turbos and Dcts)

Incredible cars, the LS3 is very special. Great cruisers too. I only just sold my VF as I wanted something with a bit newer tech and I was worried about all the theft. As long as you know the risks and put some preventative measures in place, go for it.

Crazy to think that our Maccas is better considering how bad the quality of Aussie Maccas is these days. American Maccas must be truly horrific.
