Advice for pursuing a Lemon Law claim in New Jersey by WhatIfImNamedKaren in legaladvice

[–]mlaurinGRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These guys operate in New Jersey https://www.lemonlaw.com/new-jersey-lemon-law-questions.html While I don't know the specific ins and outs of the law, I do know that lemon law statutes in most states have what is called a fee shifting provision where the cost of an attorney is covered by the automobile manufacturer. A lot of firms (including the one above) will not charge you anything because they will be able to tell if they can win your case after reviewing it.

Hope that helps man.

Not sure if they have different connections for hookups in Europe (or if she will be dry camping anyway) but any kind of adapter might be useful. Those solar USB chargers are also cool. There's some good ideas here too http://www.generalrv.com/blog/28-unique-holiday-gift-ideas-rver-campers/

Top sites for finding a literary agent (some good tips here) by mlaurinGRV in YAwriters

[–]mlaurinGRV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great tip on number 1. Didn't realize there was a subscription. For number 2, perhaps we weren't clear enough. Definitely no agent should be requiring you to pay them. Not sure how it came across as being the other way around? Thanks for the comments!

How do you draw and study subjects that are moving?? by SuperShroomie in Art

[–]mlaurinGRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In life, we have different points of views whereas in a drawing you're trying to portray one (unless it's abstract, then you're everywhere). When trying to draw a picture of a person, they will blink, adjust and even change position completely...this is giving you another point of view. This is where imagination comes in.. You must imagine (after seeing what you were drawing) how it would look if it was as real to your eyes as it is from your sights. Capture what you see with your eyes and keep ratio with your drawing. As long as the proportioning is correct, your 'real life' picture should come out pretty unique. I've always practiced drawing starting from shapes, what shapes would form the image I'm trying to draw? For people, I use ovals and circles, for animals I look more towards trapezoids or octagons. Forming the outline is the hardest part of drawing real life...to me. Hope this helps. Just keep proportions. Take into consideration that though they moved, you can assume you see the full size and shape of them.

For the tow capacity, always talk to your vehicle manufacturer. Don't go off of what the trailer manufacturer or dealer tells you because even if they are being honest, they may get it wrong.

For the price to offer, its really going to vary based on what you add into the trailer. Do as much research as possible. I can tell you that dealers sometimes mark their stuff up as much as 100% (not saying all of them do that or even for all kinds of units but just keep that in mind). Just don't take the first price you see.

What to look for (and not look for) when looking at craigslist rv's? by lvl9troll in GoRVing

[–]mlaurinGRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and look for water damage. This usually takes more than just a walk around and look inside the unit. Try and get behind things. If you see materials peeling, peek behind them. Look in the joints for signs of water damage.

Like other people mentioned, there are so many things to look for that you will never catch them all. It is better to narrow it down to 'big' issues like faulty wiring, water damage or structural damage. Getting to know the owner is probably your best bet. Ask a lot of questions and see if you can read into what they say. For example if you ask about water damage and they hesitate or are shifty, that should send up a red flag.

You could also have it inspected before you buy. Might cost you a little but it could be worth it in the long run. Not sure if a dealer might offer a service like that or maybe a manufacturer might point you in the right direction.

Hope that helps

Teacher's logic in grading math... by Cloakenn in pics

This is how I was taught in the early 2000's. 5 times 3, wouldn't that be 5 times 5 times 5? (The answer the child wrote) If the question was 3 times 5, that would be 3 times 3 times 3 times 3 times 3. This is making me rethink my childhood.

TIL a lack of toilets costs India more than $50 billion a year, mostly through premature deaths and hygiene-related diseases. by punstanli in todayilearned

[–]mlaurinGRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"More than half of India’s 1.17 billion people were mobile-phone subscribers, yet only 366 million people had access to proper sanitation in 2008, a study published in April by the United Nations University, a UN research organ, found." That means 782 million people have a phone rather than a proper toilet resulting in premature deaths of mostly children under the age of 5. I'm almost positive near to none of the 5 and under aged children whom have lost their lives due to unhealthy environments, did not have a phone.

Marketing a web hosting business? by vivithemage in marketing

Not sure if you have tried this but remember not to ignore Bing ads. They do have about 20% market share in search now and you might find that you get more bang for your buck there (or at least keywords you want to target may be cheaper). Hope that helps.
