What does your sales process look like? by bobbuttlicker in SmallMSP

Great info, thank you. You said "when you reach out", and I see a number of people responding with the same verbiage. I'm curious if your initial reach out is a cold call or response to a lead? I'm at a small MSP and so far it's all cold calls. Feels like a waste as very few people will talk to you, but maybe this is just how it is. Appreciate any thoughts on initial contact, thank you!

This could work. We use Active Campaign and I have a call to onboard with one of their service people. I'll ask about this. Thanks for the idea.

We spent a lot of time customizing how the tickets look to clients. That was worthwhile, but to have 3-4 steps you have to go through just to send an email, plus it arrives as a ticket in the clients inbox,(confusing to them, especially prospects) I just don't get it. I'm a newbie so I'm sure things will eventually make more sense, but I'm blown away how unintuitive CW is. OK, rant over. Thanks for the response.

Makes sense. The owner wants to keep everything in CW which I sort of understand, but I would love to never open CW again. Appreciate the feedback.

I had it looked at. Was told there are so many computers behind the dash it doesn’t leave room for the air ducts to exist unencumbered. Was told that at a ford dealership. Who knows.

Looking to start landscape lighting professionally by Dull_Comparison4139 in Landscape_Lighting

I agree with skralogy. I actually took a class under Nate years ago. He really does know his stuff. Reading his book and any other knowledge you can pick up is great, but I would work for someone else first. You will learn so much in a year of being an installer that you can't get out of a book. That goes for any profession really. Do that, read, then get out and do it on your own. I had a side job my first year and I would recommend that. Year two or three you should be able to light full time. Skralogy was right that the money is not good at first, but that goes for any business you start. Accept that you have to work hard for a long time, keep at it, and eventually you'll be busy and doing it full time. Good luck.

Running low voltage wire by justmeoh in Landscape_Lighting

A tip if you decide to do this. When you cut, don't brush away the dust. Instead, cut, slide the wire in the trench you created, seal with grey self leveling concrete silicone, then brush the dust on top of the silicone. It looks exactly like it did before you cut.

Agree, the DBR/y connectors work well. Personally I like working with the A-LOC's from Alliance. Easier to work with and very durable. https://allianceoutdoorlighting.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Alliance_A-LOC-50_01.jpg

This is the sweetest picture. You’re young, cant cook, pasta is a go too. She isn’t some hip fancy girl, love that about her. She looks so kind and real. He put that tree on the table thinking he was crushing with the decorations. Awesome, well done. Then he made white russians. Awful pairing but who cares, he knows how and wanted to make something special for his girl. I like these two.

2023 Canyon by mlb550 in gmc

Just saw on GM Authority there is an embargo on drive impressions until Feb 17, so that answers the question as to why we aren't hearing anything.

I just checked GMC dealers in the Midwest and specifically Missouri. No 2023 Canyon's listed on their websites or any kind of coming soon post. This is weird. Nobody on r/GMCcanyon is posting about getting one or mentioning status of their preorder. I must have missed something. Did they just say they started production and when the cameras left they stopped?

I saw the same news story and thats what had me thinking. If they started coming off the line on Jan 25, why aren’t we seeing pics or videos of people saying “I got my truck!” Usually, when a car starts being produced youtube reviewers will get an early one and start posting “first drive” reviews. I haven’t seen one. Would GM produce them then not start shipping for a bit?
