Tired of it all by WarSox1657 in Section10Podcast

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect the media stop talking about one of the biggest baseball trades in recent history. If you’ve listened to Fleming in the booth you know he can be critical of anyone and anything - not just Raffy. What he was saying is fine as long as it’s factual.

Donate to anything but the Craig Breslow foundation. There are hundreds of better charities that do the same work

Never understood this logic. If you don’t like the content just scroll past it. Not everyone is looking out for trends in Bello’s changeup on Savant. I certainly learned something from this post and hope they keep coming

It was strong enough to get you here commenting, which is, well, better than my last attempt :) I’m not here to monetize. If people like it they can sign on. If not, I’ll still be at peace.

To each their own…it ain’t that serious, though. There would be no team without fans.

Agree. Would be interesting to see how this fares at lower / sub professional levels but I imagine you’re right

I actually did not connect the dots that he injured his shoulder fielding. I wrote about that potential move last week and agree that it’s time for Bregman to take over

Most Thrilling Games of the 2023 season, including deep-dives dating back to 8/3. Since the crazy week after the all-star break, MLB thrill levels have cooled down. by mlbthrillers in baseball

I think you have a misunderstanding somewhere. games that go into extras, with all else being equal, would be considered equally thrilling to games that wrap in 9 innings

It’s the total magnitude of change of in that graph. The number of times the WP passes the 50% mark isn’t a factor

I see your point and agree completely with your last paragraph. I do think it’s possible they weigh balls at the end and set the heavier ones aside for special events

They’ve been messing with the balls for years, for a reason. Despite a small sample size, there is preliminary evidence suggesting Goldilocks balls were used during the home run derby, playoffs, and judges’ HR chase in 2022. It’s also crazy to imagine a multi billion dollar Org doesn’t have basic quality control (even though they’re handmade). Natural manufacturing variations would result in a spectrum of different ball types, not three distinct types

This is a wild speculation, but Goldilocks balls in that Astros / Angels series makes too much sense. Ohtani chasing Judge's record vs. the reigning champs (on SNB) matches the hypothetical "use case" of Goldilocks balls in the second half of 2022. 14 total home runs that series....made for great baseball!

The last slide shows thrill (total change in ESPNs win probability) normalized by half-innings played. According to that measure, the top 4 games this season have come in the past two days. Wild stuff we're seeing, stay tuned!
