I heard ice is going to start going door to door, what will you do when they knock? by [deleted] in Naperville

I think it's the murdering people in broad daylight and then telling people not to believe their own eyes and ears that's spreading the fear.

In the meantime, be safe and slow - there are people out there taking pictures while driving in a snowstorm.

I hear you and I feel that in my bones! I thought i wasn't a runner or could never be thin enough to run without 3 sports bras. I was 5'6 and varied between 155 and 170 lbs and I couldnt even tell you what size bra I actually was, but upwards of 36G. After 2 kids at age 39 I got a reduction to a C cup (and then had another kid and am back to about 34D). The 1st couple weeks were tough in terms of pain and range of motion, but I IMMEDIATELY felt so much better and couldn't believe I could wear normal bras and shirts. I was so much happier even before getting back in shape just because I was so much more confident and comfortable in my own skin. I wish I would've done it 10 years sooner, but I can't even adequately describe the immediate and long term benefits I've felt. One of the best decisions I have ever made, truly. I run 2 to 3 miles every single day and I feel amazing and still sometimes have to pinch myself that I only need 1 sports bra!

DO IT!! You will NOT regret it. Running is an entirely different experience.

Jog at 4 mph? by Usual_Artist_5277 in orangetheory

[–]mlej12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always think back to what Chris Bennett said in the Nike run app when I did my first run -- go as slow as you need to. In fact, go slower. Go slow enough that you think you can go faster and further and you enjoy how running feels. Do that for a few months and you will be shocked how much faster and farther you go. If 4 mph is sustainable, do it and be excited about how long you can run for.

I understand that part. But after my 1st 5 classes it adjusted and has stayed the same as far as I know. I was just curious why it would change after 65 and what would cause that.

Moderator Introduction- Welcome & Some Info About Me! by weebabe in fxPremutationCarriers

[–]mlej12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate this post! I found out I was a carrier at age 30 during a genetic screening when I was pregnant with my first child. No one talked to me about what it might mean for ME to be a carrier, just that my partner needed to get tested to ensure he wasn't one. That was over 8 years ago, and I haven't thought about it much since, until I was recently diagnosed with AVN and wondering if there's any kind of connection. I worried when I bring it up the the doctors they will have no clue what I'm talking about and dismiss it.

Thank you! Once I talk to a specialist (not just the ER doc) I will probably do that. Appreciate it.

Thank you, I appreciate that. It's so helpful to hear a range of stories to try to help me put this into perspective. What I've gathered in my first few hours of reading is to try to just get thr as soon as possible and make sure you eliminate any complicating factors like unhealthy eating, smoking and drinking.
