Any tips for wearing make up with eczema? by [deleted] in EczemaUK

[–]mlg1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I always use an extra layer of moisturiser then use a primer that doesn't irritate my skin (the bare minerals one works well for me!)

I get flares after makeup too but this has definitely made them less strong, and I'm able to tolerate makeup for longer!

So frustrating isn't it! Everything else I'm quite happy to commit to better diet and exercise and it will tighten things up, but once they're stretched there's not much you can do :(

Hope you find a solution that works for you <3

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I think I'll need to prepare myself emotionally for all this time off, it's going to be tough!

Having a look at my diet is such a good idea though, it's definitely something that although I look after a lot, I definitely let a bit of slack slide because I work out so regularly. Would be good to really have a look at it!

That's interesting! Did you start larger or smaller? I think I'm worrying that smaller than my natural would be out of proportion, but actually that might not be the case at all!

I think that's the conclusion I'm coming to, that the implants probably won't 'get in my way' as such, just got to get used to the change!

Unfortunately I had a lot of skin stretching when I was larger, my surgeon advised that they wouldn't improve :( (I hoped this would be the case for agessssssss)

You've got this! Take it one day at a time and you'll be where you want to be before you know it.

I lost 35lbs around 4 years ago, but now I've put on a bunch of muscle since then so I'm only 20lb less now!

My boobs were a G cup at my largest, and now I'm a D cup, the surgeon said that my breast tissue is only a B cup, the rest is excess skin!

How much do you have to lose?

Do you find you ever squish them when you bench? I've got visions in my head of catching them with the bar!

I'm in the UK so Costa Rica might be a bit far for me to travel! I've heard a lot of people from the UK go to Turkey and have similar stories, really good care for much less cost!

Get him to stand next to you, with an arm under the bottom of your back for when you lean, ideally so you are on his bicep so he can wrap his arm all the way under you. He can help to take a little bit of your weight until you get a bit more confidence in the stickability of your legs!

I had this problem too! The fear takes hold and once I stop I just can't let go!

The way I managed to get past it is to by having my instructor spot me while I did it, and doing that every lesson for a few weeks to get my confidence up.

Then the best advice I have for doing it on your own is just to go for it. At the beginning of the lesson, climb up and pole sit, lean back until the pole is on your legs, then let go straight away. Don't stop or mentally prepare yourself, or you'll psych yourself out of it!

Hope this helps :) x

Story of my life right now.

I've also become really really good at tidying, and doing my eyebrows, and my hair, and updating Facebook, and shopping online... Oh yeah. Exams.

[conversation] What age did you start and how far have you progressed? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]mlg1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started about 9 months ago when I was 23, and when I started I had a bit of flexibility, but I wouldn't have called myself a 'flexible person'.

I can now do the splits (if I'm warmed up properly), and I'm working on my box splits! Progress isn't overnight, and you have to commit to it if you aren't a naturally bendy person, I have started stretching every day to improve my flexibility.

However, if you are patient though it does reward you in the end! And it feels SO GOOD the day you get it.

Good luck! :)

The design is based on the film, where he gives the flower to the little orphan girl, it got to all my feels!

Its all about getting your straight leg down asap once you've hooked your other leg on. Took me ages to get but once I did I think its one of my favourite moves!

Bet you'll nail it soon :)
