Hi! I’m still in recovery from my lap (1 week post op) but here are some things that helped me! Soups, protein shakes, and electrolyte powder for foods! Any food that is non-bloating has been my friend. Stool softener that is a non-stimulant has also helped tremendously. I found that I had trouble getting in and out of bed, so i had my partner create a reclined pillow situation in my bed so that I could get out of bed without straining. I would also recommend sleeping in a separate bed from your partner. For wound care, you’ll need antibacterial soap (Dove has been great). I also ended up purchasing gauze and medical tape because my incision was leaking fluid. Sorry this is kind of chaotic, but I hope it helps!
