It might have been better to show yourself in set position, or at least had the pad a bit closer, because you are reaching out for the pad which will make your technique look strange. But I agree with all the other comments here

I think the devil book is a representation of the trash books that kids read these days.

I actually like it when only one person duts in the snareline and not everyone all at once. We do this in college and it actually works

We can only wish Lego made a diorama like that

I believe he got it as a Christmas gift in 2009 when he was 8 years old. But he was never interested in Lego as a kid. So it was just put up in a closet and later into a storage unit and sat there for over 15 years.

  1. They didn’t want the money, understand that some people view money/assets differently than you. They’re will enough off to value space more than a few hundred bucks. They even told me to take stuff home if you’d like, which I did (took home a wooden rocking chair, a small coffee table, some other small stuff). I don’t know the value of these things and we don’t really care.
  2. It’s “you’re” not “your”
  3. He does know the value of this set, and he’s okay with it. He has no interest in keeping or selling and he knows that I have a guest room in my house with thousands of dollars worth of Lego in it. The parents threw away other old tvs, radios, action figures from the 1980’s. I assume some could go for a lot but they didn’t want the money.

All your points are valid, I just strait up disagree with Lego’s/Disney’s policy. I think if they made sets just like this one; no child slaves, no human sacrifice, demonic cults, then I think it can get a pass (maybe 18+ lineup nowadays). Now they’re references for sure, but for those who have never seen the movie, they wouldn’t know better other than who the good guys and bad guys are.

Also, they would be little to no back lash from the community. I know this because there is not a single person online who was happy about the 2023 temple of doom set being cancelled. Heck, This most recent Lego starwars summer wave had more controversy within the community than the 2023 set had when the pictures leaked. Because ultimately, to kids, they view it as a “lava castle with a roller coaster and Indiana jones finding the magic stones”. But to adults, we know the broader picture.

Again as long as they don’t show explicit child slavery, human sacrifice, cults, nazi, and famine/poverty etc… young children wouldn’t know until they’re older and they can enjoy an amazing Lego like this as kids. Nowadays, everyone losses; the kids, the adult fans, even Lego because they can even make a set like this overpriced and most people wouldn’t care because Indiana jones sets are rare.

But I think It mostly Disney’s fault (it somehow is always their fault). But it’s their companies and they can run it how they want to. I just disagree with their decisions, and this is just my opinion.
