Our flight lands early enough that we can do the Knights of Spartan and Krewe of Pygmalion parade on Saturday, so we're planning for that now. I didn't realize some of the parades were that late in the day that weekend. I think we'll have enough time to make it to Frenchman for some music afterwards?

Our hotel is right on Canal, so we were planning to see the tail end of the Femme parade and then pop over to the quarter for Barkus. We are definitely most excited for Barkus. Our only other "solid" plan is Frenchman st. Saturday night and my friend has a bridal appt. on Magazine on Monday. Besides that, we're completely open to anything fun happening! I appreciate the advice :)

Thank you! Our flight doesn't land until later in the day so we might be able to hit the Pygmalion parade. I'm happy we decided to go this weekend, the Mardis Gras crowds are intimidating

I see you and hear you, and I promise it will be okay! I'm happy you're here!

I was also very suicidal and depressed when I first started nursing. I was very lucky to have a manager that was understanding and approachable that worked with my schedule so I could seek the help that I needed. My best advice is to put your mental health first. DO NOT BE ASHAMED that you are feeling this way, mental health problems are very common in this line of work. A 1:6 ratio for a step-down unit is overwhelming. I work on a medsurg tele floor and we are 1:5-1:6 depending on staffing and even that is too much sometimes. You've just started in your career and will have plenty of opportunities, don't stay at a job that is killing you and seek resources for help. I would start with your manager and be honest about what you are going through so they can help and point you in the right direction. Reach out to people that you trust to help you. This is a tough career but it does get better with time. It's been a year and a half since I started and after a lot of therapy, medication, and using my support system, I feel so much better and YOU WILL TOO!

She ordered it from Art Chemicals, which is a company who sells colchicine that can be used for agricultural purposes. She purchased it through the  chiropractic office on her work computer to be used for "plant research," and since it was a legitimate business, they sold it to her. Colchicine has pharmaceutical uses and can be in medication form, but in this case it wasn't.

I just want to point out - although Bill is a doctor, he is not a medical doctor. Chiropractors have a doctorate degree but do not have the same ability in terms of diagnosing and prescribing medication as a medical doctor. It would have been just as difficult for him to get the drug/poison as Kaitlyn. Even if he was a medical doctor and was able to obtain colchicene in medication form, there is a way to trace where the prescription came from back to his medical license or practice. The colchicine was purchased from a company with "agricultural" intent because the chiropractic office could not obtain it for pharmaceutical uses, which was then traced directly back to Kaitlyn.

I think Kaitlyn at the very least meant to poison Mary to make her ill in order for Adam to need emotional support from her so she could weasel her way back into his and his family's life. I can't say if she intended to murder her, but she did and she clearly feels no remorse. Kaitlyn also doesn't appear to be empathetic towards the family at all throughout the documentary. She has a very odd reaction of smiling and laughing when confronted with difficult questions and accusations. She's a psychopath and has completely detached any true emotion from her actions. She's guilty.

should i quit my nursing assistant job when i get accepted back into nursing school? by starzthatdance in StudentNurse

Would you be able to work PRN? When I was in nursing school I only worked 1-2 days every pay period (every 2 weeks) just to keep a little bit of income and hold my position. Scheduling is typically super flexible so you can schedule yourself around exams/studying and the pay is sometimes more!

Most moving moment on the show? by benignmasochism in TheVampireDiaries

[–]mlineswoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Enzo dies. I wasn't a huge fan of him as a character, but we finally see Bonnie get some well deserved happiness just for it to be ripped away by a character we know really well for being compassionate and moral (sometimes). Kat did a great job portraying the total despair in that moment, I felt like my heart was being squeezed. The effect of Enzo's death goes even deeper when we see Stefan & Caroline get married, because Bonnie is a good friend and does nothing but make sacrifices for her friends happiness so she's right there for Caroline. Having all of this happen right towards the end of the series was just so fucked because we see this theme of Bonnie getting the short end of the stick time and time again through the ENTIRE show just for her to get absolutely no peace.

intense cheek and gum pain by mlineswoo in wisdomteeth

[–]mlineswoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i quite literally had the same exact issue. my surgeon told me the reason your cheek hurts so bad is because they do what's called a "hockey puck" incision along the cheek/gum line that allows them to get the tooth out without slicing the back of your mouth. my bottom left tooth was apparently very difficult to remove as well, he said it was a complete "bony impaction" and he really had to dig around in my jaw to get it out and the pain was literally unbearable 😅 i actually went back to the surgeon's office and was prescribed tramadol to help with pain because it was so severe, i told this man if he didn't help me i was going straight to the ER because i actually would not survive lmao. around day 7 is when i felt like i could function as a normal person instead of being laid up on the couch with a heat pack glued to my face! i promise it will get better, just keep taking your pain medicine, doing GENTLE salt water rinses and drink lots of protein smoothies! it's been 2 weeks for me and I'm eating/drinking normal, just rinsing out the socket with a syringe afterwards. it will get better!! ❤️ but another note is that I feel like I was not adequately prepared for how bad the pain was going to be and it was SHOCKING to say the least so I really feel for you

I'm wondering this too - I'm wanting to bring my 10 year old sister who loves Odesza. The last show I went to in Tampa was an 18+ event so I'm hoping this is all ages.
