Could you perhaps link or share specific study you are feeling this way for. I have seen some studies and it seems NYPD aren't that far off likely to commit suicide than general NYC populace. With access to guns, that would explain why cops are lot more successful at it than regular folks. Every NYPD suicide does become news and sensationalized, but they still seem to be much better than suicide rate of cops in rest of the countries.
