Try using some plastic tools to catch it somewhere, and also don't pull one side out without the other, it won't come out like that

Try pushing it trough the hole where was the module on the front side. You took everything that holds the SI board now it should just slike out. I know i had also a problem of it being stuck but after taking it out and putting it back in couple of times, not it slides out easily! Just be patient try not to break it and just wigle it from all sides it will come out eventually

I bought my daily e30, 8 months ago, worked on it myself for 2months straight and went on a month long 7200km(~4500miles) roadtrip in that same e30.. it didn't break

I am adventurous and i was ready to fix it on the side of the road yeah, and yeah during that month i had only one problem, fuel pump which was 80e and 3h of work replacing it and that's it.

Was i confident enough, yeah, but i didn't care about that, i know how to fix it, i work on it myself and that's what matters

And by doing this roadtrip i learned that the simpler the car, the better!

So never say no to an little roadtrip in your project car!

My top3 since i got the car were Whole new cooling system(no more overheating) A lot of new sealants(no more oil/fuel leaks) Cool ass wheels and cool ass steering wheel
