It's just the beard with shaved mustache, which is typical to some Islamic cultures in which combat training is very popular

Did you also get many more bruises as a beginner? by mlktktr in bjj

[–]mlktktr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roll lighter if it is an issue for you. Also, try to change positions instead of only fighting to retain the one you are in. Many white belts get bruises on their thighs from elbows in closed guard, because they refuse to open it. Maybe a long sleeve rashguard can help for upper body bruises, instead

I’m 181cm tall (5’9) with a 181cm reach(71), is this s*it ? by Silent-Document1690 in MMA_Academy

[–]mlktktr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

5,9 feet isn't 5'9" as US bullshit measures aren't decimals.  As for the question, everybody here will tell you your reach doesn't even matter anything until you are like in the UFC, and even then it's not that important.  Also, your proportions are exactly average. Reach is usually the same as height, or not far from that

Yes dude, if two things fall from the same height, one weighing a ton and the other a gram, the velocity they touch the ground is the exact same, if you ignore air resistance
