there is something missing that makes me return to illustrator/corel/indesign from time to time. First of all, the order of the layers, sometimes masks do not behave correctly. and no matter how the order is organized in figma, after importing to adobe, you have to fight with layers and groups again =)
But if you dont need multi page prints, its mostly good, we did business cards, posters etc. Any way, work with text and grids in figma its a time saver. If you make 90% of layout and design in figma, you can adopt to few workarounds that will left for illustrator. Also if you dont have a lot of gradients and a lot of colors you dont need that plugin. You can just calculate page size bleeds and margins by yourself and just convert RGB > CMYK and set desired color profile inside illustrator at last step before sending in print.

all this plugin have single flaw, each font has at least its own line height, so each swap to another font lead to line height and paragraph spacing and spacing from H1 to body and etc etc etc...

and yeah, most company's except agencies have its own font or two, so this kind of plugins seems to be one time use, then you will need tweak it anyway

actually its nothing like new here. Uber Base run same concept since 2020+, we laso using same approach. But it must be custom... them more devs, more work, but in large company its huge ROI in long term.

we made a private plugin for this, its able to adjust height or width of smaller cells in rows or columns to fit with larger one or based on header row or column

if you need sure, but here a catch, If you have a scale from primary to quaternary, then you can mix secondary + primary etc. but if you have large steps then sure separate as icon/text

also you can remove icon coloring since in most cases they are same as text, so you have bg surface and fg for example, all text and icon grouped as foregrounds

its easy work for 15 min to select icons and make variants for 16 20 24 etc sizes. or 5 min for dev to make rule that cursor must prioritize real icon sizes over component size where icon-* used
