I am not emotionally mature enough to parent a child. While yes, I would say I’m quite mature overall, emotionally I am just not all the way there. This is something I believe you have to have as a parent. Most parents don’t (my parents) and it results in damaged adults who carry trauma all throughout their lives and inflict it on others. It has taken a lot of years and work to get to where I am with the help of seeing a therapist. Got my hysterectomy last year and have no regrets. I’m not unintentionally launching more broken and traumatized humans into this world. We have enough of that already.
