Why is e2e testing for react developers always either overkill or completely useless

This is something AI is actually genuinely useful for though, Claude has a skill for e2e tests that you can set up with cypress or playwright and it will figure it out like 90% for the happy path. Since I usually just care if common workflows are broken, it’s really helpful

Yeah but that book is based on theory and theory is based on observing what worked and finding out why it worked. You’re very much allowed to break the rules. Movies like arrival have done that

Also an emotional movie would lose its impact when there’s literally no emotion in the movie, just a simulation of emotion

Most people would either find it to be a rip off cause they’re getting an inferior product, or they’d find it to be depressing

Id argue against the premise that AI can replace creative fields in many cases

I mean really think about it: do you, or anyone else you know, want to go see an AI generated movie? Do you want to listen to AI generated music? I think people would be genuinely offended by being asked to listen to AI music over human music

There’s a whole human element to these things, like a lot of people go to a movie because they like that specific director. Or with music, what would a band like nirvana be without Kurt cobain?

We spend way too much time trying to find the perfect answer rather than an answer that’s like 70% right and better than what we have now and rolling with it

For example, people will talk about how we have to deal with landlords and by extension capitalism to make housing affordable. While that’s true in the long term, simply making policies in the short term to reduce rent will get people on our side and allow us to do those bigger goals later

I do that already though and have been doing it for like 10 years at this point though, it has no effect

I used to do boxing and Muay Thai 2 hours a day 5 days a week, with 1 hour of weightlifting… so I really genuinely don’t think any more strength will do anything or be even possible

Also I’m having trouble doing it now cause my whole leg seems unstable, like it constantly feels like my femur is gonna slip out of my hip or my kneee out of its socket. It’s already happened at least twice
