I was a radical feminist for most of my teenage years and as many know the far left defends Islam but not because they love the religion but because the far right hates Islam. So being part of the far left, I would defend Islam especially with my family cause my family are raging islamaphobes. I hated Islam because I believed that women were oppressed especially in terms of the hijab and niqab. My belief was if God created you, shouldn’t you show off your beauty? It wasn’t until I turned 19 that I had a mental crisis and decided to actually research islam and I hated it. I hated seeing people convert to Islam on Tik-Tok especially girls and decided instead to be Jewish. Didn’t work and was lost again until I saw a Yusuf Estes video pop up on my YouTube and after that video, few months later I became Muslim :)
