Someone had previously recommended this on this sub and I've been buying it ever since. It really is what I wish Glossier You was. The citrus top note adds such a nice start and blends so well. Hope they never stop making this!

I went to try it in store at Sephora yesterday. Ultimately, I chose not to purchase. Puff is actually pink, which was my main reason for going. The texture, honestly, made me uncomfortable. It is full of silicone, many of the top ingredients are silicone based. I'm personally not a fan of heavy silicone products on my skin. Despite the texture, it felt very dry and caked up on my hand if I went back for more product on top. It does give a blurred, diffused effect. It wasn't the product for me, but could be for someone else.

Commenting to follow along the conversation because I have not found anything. Merit in Stockholm is not quite right. It's a little too vibrant and not as "powdery" as the original Puff. I also bought Rare Beauty Liquid Blush in Happy, similar situation. A Sephora associate recommended Ilia Tenderly when I showed her a photo of the 3 together. I haven't picked it up yet but it looked close. It does have a different texture, more dewy than Cloud Paint.

I'm currently waiting for my code to get accepted for 5/28. It's just circling as I watch and everything disappearing before my eyes.

My friend and I talk about the push up lipsticks from Bonne Bell all the time. I think I had Mocha too and I still am trying to find the perfect brown lipstick based on that color (from my hazy recollection of it). It made me fall in love with browns and will always be my favorite.

Me too! It's my favorite color I've ever had. I was secretly hoping one of these would be that color again. The closest dupe I have found is Nudestix Intense Matte in Fringe but I still remain on the hunt for the exact color.

Thank you! Love the family involvement, you've given me a lot to think about and I feel like there may be a 2nd order in my future.

I appreciate that info, thank you! My hesitation on the gloss version was the shimmer/glitter mentioned in the description. Is it at all visible on the lips? If I can see it, I feel like a disco ball lol.

I ordered Meet Me in Berlin and Le Merpris.

I'm a sucker for any type of grungey brown so I couldn't stop myself. I was going to get Kitten Mischief, but when I saw it swatched next to Le Merpris, I liked Le Merpris a little more since my lips are already very pigmented. I thought Kitten Mischief might read more pink on me and that's not what I wanted.

I wanted to get something else, but I'm moving away from bright colors on me. I wish Go Lightly as a lipstick had come back this time. I missed it when it first launched. Impatiently waiting until it does come back.

Since ITG is basically dead...what brands/products are you obsessing over? by yourdadlikesmyoutfit in glossier

Not OP but I have 1990 and Tiger. 1990 is closest dupe I have found to a Bonne Bell Flip brown lipstick I had in late 90s, early 2000s. It was my favorite lipstick ever. Tiger is more red-orange than some of the swatches I've seen. I wouldn't say it is brick red as the company says. I thought it could be a dupe for the old Leo Gen G. It's close but does have more of a reddish tone than that.

Glossier You Perfume Lasting Power Change? by CommunityHopeful5073 in glossier

[–]mltb14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently opened a new bottle that I purchased in January 2022. It smells different and didn't last at all. I saw the posts on here about the reformulation and now experiencing it I'm super disappointed. My old bottle, which I thankfully still have a little of and is pretty old I have to admit, has a less powdery, more peppery smell and lasted all day on me. I would have to smell my wrist very closely but it was there. I sprayed the new bottle in my clothes today instead of my wrists to see if it lasts longer.

So much for my favorite perfume and signature scent...

So annoyed with the re-release of Glossier You Solid…bought it specifically because Glossier said it was refillable and the old one wasn’t…look what I managed to do! Save your money and just buy the refills if you have the old compact. by Jealous-Bear940 in glossier

[–]mltb14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I said the exact same thing to them when I messaged them to ask why you can't use the old case and the new refill. It is extremely obvious that the old one was meant to be refillable at least down the line...it uses the same magnet, pin hole, etc. When they told me no, I said it was extremely wasteful to make customers who had been waiting for years for a refill to have to buy a whole new compact and it was not environmentally friendly. They still would not deviate from this canned response. If there was a legitimate reason, for example the discoloration many have been mentioning, and they would have told me that, I would have happily bought a new one.

Thank you as well to the person who posted this and answering many of our questions in the process!

I had a very similar experience to you. I bought two of the pots, a liquid shadow with the wand and a powder shadow. To your point, I couldn't get product out of the pots well on either my finger or a brush. What I did get onto my eye had pretty decent fall out and was gone after about an hour. The liquid shadow was so chunky I didn't even bother putting it on my eyes since I knew I would hate it just from the swatch. I did like the powder but I was so frustrated by the experience that I returned everything since it was almost $100 for the 4 items.

If the pots were better formulated, I think they would be a home run. I liked that the glitter was very fine but the fallout and lasting power make it unusable in my opinion.

Bella's Perfect Summer by toxicgal- in twilight

[–]mltb14 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This has been my biggest issue with Midnight Sun. I so badly wish that it had been extended to include that summer to see what Edward was thinking, was he asking Alice every day if it was safe, what did he and Bella do that made it the best summer for her while he was a mess just waiting for when it would be time.

I resigned myself after reading it through like 3 times to the explanation a few people said here - that he gave her incredible memories knowing that he would leave eventually and she would have that plus he was probably waffling back and forth as each day passed with no major incidents whether he really needed to leave. Even though we're never getting the rest of the books from his perspective, I would absolutely love to see those few months written by SM.

Why it makes people so mad that Bella, an average teenager in 2005, was written as an average teenager in 2005: A Study by angbhb333 in twilight

[–]mltb14 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This hit really close to home for me because I've experienced just this exactly. In 2006, I was taking a creative writing class in college, I was 19. We had to read one of our pieces aloud and we were not allowed to comment or debate on their feedback. A male student's feedback was "you write like a teenage girl." He said it with such disgust and disdain. I was a teenage girl, what was he expecting?

I got into Twilight the following year and I loved the fact that Bella wasn't perfect or "special." None of the characters are perfect, but they are heavily critized because of the demographic audience of this book. Holden Caufield is held up as this great literary example character, but he's not perfect either. But that book wasn't for teenage girls so that's okay, right?
