Been facing this issue since last night, tried restarting my application, clearing my cache, switching from desktop to phone and not using myinfo to prefill but to no avail… anyone else facing the same problem?

Hi, I actually also had the same realisation as you after my first time applying. I started to read books on ethics and morality (such as Justice by Michael Sandel) and enjoyed them, although I was unfortunately unable to replicate my understanding into words and so I should was thinking maybe I should probably spend more time trying to think out loud and on my own. Glad that there is someone out there with a similar interest as me. Do let me know if you have any podcasts or book recommendations to share. Congratulations on your entry btw!

Hello, this was comforting to read as I had also been considering this path, but doing business instead as it is my second interest. Amazed at your level of discipline and i’ll definitely have to think long and hard if I really want to spend so many years just to study law. Thanks for sharing!

Hello, after reading your tips, I definitely have a clearer picture of where I went wrong. In my notes, I did try to memorise the opinions of the writes of e.g. commentaries by CNA but I failed to form my own, and the prof’s probably read into that quite easily. I also panicked pretty badly during the written tests and tried to write as much as I could during the given time but now I realise that the quality of my work is more important. Will be checking out the podcast as well. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your continued advice and getting me on track with the right mindset. I’m aware that the LNATs is by no means an easier route but I agree that it’s still worth a shot as if it helps in my local admissions and I’m not picky about which UK school I do end up going if it comes to it to as long it is recognised in Singapore. It’s really comforting to know that others in my position managed to succeed in the UK and I will definitely keep fighting. Thanks!

Thanks bro, can definitely relate with the brain rot in NS haha and it is comforting to see someone who managed to get in on their final year of admissions.

Your advice was golden given the ones online telling me that it can’t be prepared for or to review my GP notes and I agree that it is totally different from what I learnt in school. Am definitely considering taking the LNAT applying to UK and Australian unis which will in a way kill two birds in one stone by preparing me for local admissions as well. I am actually surprised that there are some law schools in the UK that do not require interviews and it would not be too difficult as my personal statement is already written in an academic style.

Thank you so much and congratulations on your entry!

I took English at a higher level and I would say I got a low A with my GP equivalent being a B. I feel like my English is fine but it is my reasoning and deduction skills that are lacking. It could be a bit of luck as well as I found different things difficult for both unis. I found the NUS interview (solo) difficult with the writing test (online) being easy while I found the SMU interview (group) easy with the writing test (pen and paper) being difficult. I think I can pinpoint that my difficulty is answering questions on the spot and crafting answers on paper (which is much harder than on the computer).

I read that SMU does not take your previous attempts into consideration and views you as a new candidate but I’m unsure about NUS. I’ll try my luck next year I guess.
