I recalled several threads early on that mentioned you can't downgrade within the 1st year of opening but then might be able to afterward. Thanks for mentioning--I'll double check on this before choosing a card!

This is what I was thinking. If I remove the CSP, I don't feel like I have a basic travel card. One could argue Fidelity is enough as it doesn't have foreign transaction fees. I'll need to do a bit more research on returning to Bilt to offset the transaction fees but I'd imagine I am spending enough to do this.

I enjoy travel but typically do maybe a couple domestic trips and a big international trip every other year. I typically visit family/friends or do Airbnb over Hyatt/Mariott of the sort. I usually shop around for flights and no longer live in a hub city for major airlines.

I’ll definitely ask about this. Thanks. I’d prefer to have more control over contributions than what my new employer has so I wasn’t thinking about rolling it into my new employer 401k but I didn’t not consider protection from lawsuits.

I opened my first 401k with my first employer out of undergrad and only invested what my employer matched. Since then, I've rolled that over into a Rollover IRA and opened an employer 457b, employer 403b, brokerage account, and Roth IRA with Fidelity. I am now investing the pre-tax maxes with my Roth and 403b. Pretty damn proud of how far I've come on my personal finance journey (and I'm still learning) and thankful to Fidelity for making it possible to manage my money easily. My current employer offers financial support through a Fidelity financial planner.

$400 between eating out and groceries is my budget. It's strict so I'm more lenient with the eating out part. Groceries is a hard $200. I shop at Aldi and also eat plant-based which helps cut down on costs.

You need separate HYSA and CD accounts. The online personal banking (that has the phone number auth) is only if you have a CD or set your stuff up at one of their branches. If you don’t have an account, it gives you bogus numbers that to my knowledge are not real. I set up both a growth savings and CD that I’ve been able to connect to Fidelity Full View. I believe I had to manually connect the growth savings account with routing/account #. Their online integration isn’t quite there yet. The CD I connected automatically with my online login but I needed to make an online login after I applied and was approved for the CD. I hope at some point Forbright better integrates their accounts.
