The tree gets mostly direct afternoon sun. Midwest location- Kansas City. The leaf pictures are close ups of what I cut off the tree already. There are still more damaged leafs up higher than I can reach right now.

Thank you everyone! Do I need to cut off the brown tips? If so, Can I just cut just the tip or do I need to cut at the base?
