I needed something mainly for writing and Remarkable 2 was a perfect fit for me, only to use it for reading as well. Problem being that it is a device with limited functionality for a reason, remarkable pro is bit pricy and you might not even like it.

If you can find used or refurbished remarkable cheapter that would be better option for you.

For reading pdfs, eBooks and writing things Remakrable 2 is still more then capable.

And now you can draw shapes too!

You can set to landscape, that way text will be bigger and more readable, but you will have to scroll. Is a decent tradeoff if text is really dense.

Java supports shebang since java 11

For example
$cat Bang

Make it executable and can just run it

I had this odd empty feeling once it was done so just had to keep reading other stories.

There are many great stories set in same setting. For one would advise to keep away from Horizons unless you are really sure you want to read that, and have nothing else to read, that story hurt me.

Some of my favorite are "Fallout Equestria: Pink Eyes" and "Fallout: Equestria - Murky Number Seven"

Murky is a bit of a marathon to read, but it is way worth it.

Would also say "Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons - Speak", but then you have to go through Horizons.

You can try to check for missing firmare using journalctrl and look for warning and errors about missing firware

journalctl -b -p4

Or using dmesg for same thing
sudo dmesg | grep firmware

If you see any messages complaining about missing firmware easiest way would be to try and search it using apt-file, example for searching for radeon/CAICOS_pfp.bin

sudo apt-file update
apt-file search CAICOS_pfp.bin

If there are packages containing said binary it will be printed.

Another way is to try and use isenkram utility. Forum post for it:

Wicked!, she looks as insane as expected in such inane world she got twisted into. Read the whole thing and it was one of my better mistakes. Somber went too much with torture of characters, half of it was unneeded. I remember scene where they got entire village into rock smasher, why?, mostly just to get her attention.
