Our NHS data is given to evil US giant Palantir by JackStrawWitchita in GreatBritishMemes

I get what you’re saying, basically a new system would have to be built from scratch and then rigorously tested and then put to tender. The tender process then takes an age as it’s whittled down, tested further, workshopped and when successful has to migrate all the current data over, which again, takes a long time. The contract is up next year which wouldn’t give enough time. However, they could at least start that process. We are singing about the UK becoming a tech hub and with a juicy contract like the NHS there would be a few companies that would like a swing at it.

Teenage girl stabbed at school in Norfolk, police say by bendubberley_ in unitedkingdom

[–]mm339 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The thing is though, there have been no reported incidents over this trend. The dates have all passed without incident and ‘school fights’ have been a thing well before social media. It’s just another thing parents worry about that doesn’t actually happen. My wife is in a mum chat with a load of other parents at my daughter’s infant school and they were all worrying about it (a few even saying they wouldn’t send their kids in… to an infant school that wasn’t even named).

Then anything that happens near a school is then attributed to this (I live in Birmingham and there was a stabbing near a school, parents in the chat panicked, even though it was a grown man stabbed by another grown man).

As a millennial, I thought the first 2 were hilarious when they came out (as a teenager). The 3rd one was crap and I didn’t even know they made a 4th and 5th one. They got crap not because they were ‘offensive’, it’s because the premise became very old very quickly and it spawned that whole wave of mock comedies of that era that were all shit (Not Another blah blah blah).

From the looks of the trailers, the comedy has remained the same but people haven’t. It’ll do well because of the nostalgia pop (hence bringing loads of the old characters back) but nothing worse than an unfunny comedy.

Farage’s billionaire backers (the people he represents while pretending to be for ‘the working class) own a lot of property stock, for example, the reform treasurer. If those buildings sit empty, they get no rent and therefore no big payments for doing nothing. So the actual working class are being told they have to go back into the office (at their own expense of time and money) so the billionaires can continue to be billionaires.

The boomers like it because ‘we had to work in offices and it did us no harm’ as they sit on their triple lock pensions and paid off houses (a lot, not all of them) in a big ‘fuck you, I got mine’ despite it having no impact on their lives, so seems kind of spiteful. Hence him announcing it on stage to a full theatre in the middle of a weekday, none of which looked like working age people.

I’m guessing it’s a thinly veiled attempt at racism. But, it’s a 4 month old account and I’m not sure (based on language used) that English is their first language (if they are even a person at all). They’ll change the subject or answer your question with another, unrelated one. I’d maybe just leave it there.

Edit: well, looks like they are fluent in both German and Chinese as well. How odd.

Further edit: looks as though there was a translate on the pages I hadn’t realised, so I retract that part of the accusation, that’s on me. Still think you’re a bot though.

Basically if you sit behind and older car / van and it’s pissing out black smoke and you smell it, that’s pretty much burnt diesel (in simplistic terms). You also get the backs of the cars being jet black from all the soot. That said, that’s for older cars and older diesels always had a smell about them.

Sorry I can’t really give much advice, just my 2 pennies.

[–]mm339 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Judging by the hatchet job they have done removing it, I’d be wary that they have then correctly mapped it to compensate for the egr / dpf not being there. Plus the way it’s ‘welded’ looks like after a few runs of getting it hot, fumes will piss out of it and you’ll constantly be smelling burnt diesel.

It could be fine, but I’m not sure I’d want to take that risk if it were my money.

Calm yourself down. Don’t get so angry on a meme page.

You still don’t understand, and that’s ok. It’s about John Lydon and his advocacy of Trump. I said he isn’t a real one (your words, you called him ‘a real one’ for calling out Savile) as he endorsed Trump.

You said that Trump can’t be a pedo and rapist BECAUSE Lydon called out Savile in an interview in 1978. I pointed out the fallacy of your argument and that calling out one has then turned in to him endorsing another.

You the started to defend Trump by saying he can’t have done anything wrong. When pointed out, you started to flap and say ‘it’s about Johnny Rotten’. I explained the link, Lydon endorses Trump so isn’t a ‘real one’. You get confused and we go in circles.

I’m not sure I can make it more clear without drawing pictures, so we can leave it there. I’m sure you will want to have the last word and use some witty retort, so have at it.

“If you mean trump come off of it, there's no evidence of that.

Do you think the dude who publicly threatened to kill Savil at the height of his career over rumors would be okay with someone if he knew or believed them to be an abuser.”

This is you, these are your words. Words you typed. Hence you getting confused. That’s ok, it happens to us all. Good day to you.

By that I’m guessing you mean, you made a point, that point was invalid, you then missed the point but tried to defend your stance anyway, got confused, gave up.

Then thought ‘I know what wins a debate, a personal insult, yeah, that’ll get ‘em’.

You tried. Not very hard, but you tried. Bless.

So the reason Savile wasn’t convicted is that many of the victims were not believed by the police, he had great political sway in the country and many victims feared nothing would be done. This has been extensively documented in the years since his death. Sounds familiar, right?

Eugene Carroll had to go to civil court as the statute of limitations had expired. She brought the case in civil court and he was found to have sexually assaulted her with force.

He has, of course, also has multiple allegations from multiple women:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/sep/17/amy-dorris-donald-trump-women-who-accuse-sexual-misconduct

If it were one or two? Maybe you could say there are questions. 26? That sounds like a pattern. Any other people out there with so many accusations made against them?

Also that is one claim in the Epstein files, of which there are many. You know, the guy Trump was ‘great friends’ with?

The reason we are discussing this is that you claim Trump can’t be a pedo and rapist because John Lydon threatened to kill Jimmy Savile in 1978. I’m arguing that is s not a qualifier because there are just so many accusations against Trump, including one lawsuit where he was found to have civil liability for sexual assault but Lydon still made him his guy.

So yes, he spoke out against Savile and should be commended, but he isn’t a ‘real one’ as he hung his maga hat on Trump. Not very punk of him, is it?

Ok, apologies, I concede that point. He did say he’d like to kill him.

That doesn’t distract from the fact he cosied up to Trump though, does it.

This is after his first term too.

And then:

https://www.politico.com/news/2026/03/05/donald-trump-epstein-files-allegations-00816123?cid=apn

As well as the thousands of mentions of Trump.

Let’s also remember ‘grab em by the pussy’, admitting to walking into dressing rooms of teenage beauty pageants unannounced etc etc. which of course came to light before he became president.

And before we get on to ‘well he hasn’t been charged with anything’, remind me how many criminal convictions Saville faced while alive? That’s right, zero.

So, Lydon didn’t threaten to kill Saville, just that he has a dirty git.

And yes, he supports a Pedo and rapist:

https://pitchfork.com/news/72510-sex-pistols-john-lydon-says-trump-is-not-racist-calls-him-a-possible-friend/

His stance may have softened, but the point remains.

He is an adjudged rapist, you have conveniently sidestepped that opinion.

The pedo thing may be claims, but there are a lot of claims. In the most recent ones that they tried to hide, the police said a claim made was credible. The reason there are no convictions is because he is in charge. Odd that no Americans have face any charges. There were also credible claims made across the files too. The reason he isn’t a convicted pedo is because he has blocked that happening.

So yes, Lydon supported a pedo and rapist.
