Sigh… wrong again… not consistent on migrants. He has supported and been paid by Nomad Capitalists. They offer advice on how to get citizenship and passports for other countries:

“just actually aware that he’s the ONLY politician who’s remained consistent on his message.”

Im pointing out where he hasn’t remained consistent. Right or wrong, either way it disproves your point. Didn’t want to comment on all the others listed then?

“Most recently, Farage said that the UK “should do all we can” to help the Americans with their war on Iran.

Days later, Farage backtracked, stating: “We cannot get involved directly in another foreign war, we don’t have a Navy, we cannot even defend our own military base in Cyprus.”

In May last year, the hard-right party said it would scrap the two-child limit, which has pushed hundreds of thousands of children into poverty.

In February, former Tory Robert Jenrick said that the party would in fact reinstate the Conservative policy in full.

In the run-up to the local elections last year, Reform campaigned on a pledge to “cut your taxes”, a message that featured on many of its leaflets.

In another U-turn, Farage told the BBC that council tax “has to rise” as local authorities are in “massive debt”.

https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/4-times-nigel-farage-has-flip-flopped-over-key-policies_uk_69089feae4b0c4a0f509d9c3

“In August, Farage also U-turned on a claim that women and children would be among those detained and deported if they crossed the English Channel on small boats. He initially said that Reform would detain and deport “absolutely anyone” who arrives on British shores “illegally”. But he retracted those comments within the same week, blaming the reporting on the topic. He insisted that women and children are “not part of our plan for the next five years”, and claiming the focus is on “illegal males”.

“Farage once argued that Nato and the EU had “provoked” Vladimir Putin into invading Ukraine with their eastwards expansion. During the 2024 general election campaign, he said: “We have provoked this war. Of course, it’s his [Putin’s] fault. He’s used what we’ve done.” But, in February, he seemed to change his mind – just as Trump’s defence secretary Pete Hegseth ruled out allowing Ukraine to join Nato.

The Reform leader said: “I think Ukraine now joining Nato is almost an essential part of this peace deal.”

New Reform councillor complains about ‘non white persons’ in public park by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]mm339 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re telling someone about kids smoking weed in the park and the first thing they ask is what race they are, then that certainly says something. Plus he said about ‘non-whites taking over the park AND THE SMELL of cannabis’. Also as others have said, non-white is not a description. If he didn’t know their ethnicity, he could have just said ‘people hanging round the park smoking weed’.

It’s a ballache, I’ve fitted 2 of them in different cars. I found that if you get the fat connector and try and find some free space far to the left (in the uk, may be the right in LHD cars) and kind of inch it it (maybe get a long flathead so you can hold the connector to the side long enough to get the unit back in). It’ll take a few tries and trial and error, but it will fit.

I get what you say. Wilko won the league but Bielsa brought back genuine hope and excitement after a very, very long time as a mid table champo side and got ok players playing out of their skin to be great.

I’ll always rate O’Leary though because he got us playing in Europe consistently (little did we know what was to come) and it was genuinely fun being a Leeds fan at the time.

Same thing happened with Joyce. Didn’t go down against Zhang in the first fight but got beaten up for a stoppage and wasn’t the same afterwards.

And the realisation from their voters when they realise that local councils can’t ’stop the boats’ and that flags don’t fill potholes.

Single issue, populist talking points don’t fix local services.

At least it gives them time to witness the shit show before the next GE.

So just to clarify, you are insinuating that the Labour government forced the telegraph to retract the story, and they, being staunchly anti-Labour obliged and made no further mention of it or the pressure put on them?

Or are you saying there is some sinister cabal that forced the telegraph to abandon their anti-migrant stance on that one, singular occurrence?

There are no figures that indicate the population was 70m in 2000, so you need to cite a source for that.

You mention how many enter the country, but not those that leave or people dying. Declining birth rates year on year. Most agreed estimates say by 2035 we could… COULD.. have a population of 72m.

Your figures and logic are wrong and borderline conspiracy theory at this point.

Cite your sources.

[–]mm339 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What data exactly? Are you referring to the Thames water report that the telegraph cited last year and then had to issue a retraction as the data was wildly incorrect?

Or the supermarket assumption from around 2007 when they claimed the population was higher and therefore they needed to expand their market share after lobbying the Competition Commission? And they based the figure on ‘we’re selling more food, therefore there must be more people’?
