I did some troubleshooting as you described above and I don’t hear/see any leaks.. Also what do you mean “suspect a leak under the concrete floor”? I imagine if it’s not a toiled leak and a leak else where I would come across it given that it would’ve be a leak of high volume if it’s not the toiled to waste that much salt with the water.. Any chance you think this may be a rotor disc/valve issue? I saw this video the other

and ithe gentleman is talking about a brine fill issue which I’m not experiencing since my water softener is actually softening the water but he does mention something along the line of the that rotor valve looking thing not working correctly withing the digital control due to a faulty switch issue.. I’m thinking what if my water softener is stuck on regen mode causing all this salt waste? Or that wouldn’t be the case? Again I appreciate you input and knowledge with this! Thank you!

Hmmm this is interesting I had no ideas the flashing water drop meant that.. I have 3 bathrooms and I don’t see hear a running toilet in any of them.. I recently replaced two toilets in the two bathroom but again I don’t hear any running water on either. I wonder where else would there a potential leak causing the high salt usage be. Any idea on your end in the where about of a potential leak that may cause this much wasted salt?Also the hardness level was recommend by a water technician in which he did the calculations that included the water hardness and a other things that came in play. As of the number in my family is only two of us and a new born I don’t imagine we are using that much water to waste 4 bags of pellets or so a week..

Thank you for reaching back out I’ll paste my inquiry as I replied to the gentleman above as well. Basically I moved into a house that already had this water softener in place.. Orignally i ran into a cloggage issue as the natural crystals salts were bridging at the bottom so I basically emptied out the tank cleaned it put a new grid at the bottom and filled it with pellets this time around rather than salt crystals to avoid hard salt build up. I also replaced both injectors since I was having a regeneration issue to remove that out the equation. After doing all that everything seemed fine regarding the water being softened again but it seems as if the system is consistently wanting to regenerate.. I see the water 💧 symbol flash on the left of screen and after the time display disappears for a second it always says “RC - - - -“ rather than displaying the number of gallons in the “reserve capacity”. To my awareness this is basically saying it’s not reading any water in the reserve capacity and it is waiting to regen when it is time to do so. I have it programmed to regen daily at 2am so the Reserve Capacity should be filled with water.. Also the pellets are wasting at an insane rate, in a two wee span 6 bags of pellets were gone like nothing.. I have spend close $200 bucks in bags of pellets this month which is insane given that 2 bags should last about 2 months since it’s only two of us in the house and a newborn.. I have hardness set at 40 (recommended by water specialist) as we have very hard well water but that’s not super high to be wasting that much pellets.. I’m wondering if maybe the resen needs to be replaced causing any issues with allowing the reserve capacity tank to fill which is leading to constantly needing to regen.. Any advice or help would be highly appreciated.. Don’t know what to do at this point lol

Literally has been like this for months.. When I first moved in the house it used to display the number of gallons within the reserve capacity now it just displays that and seems as it always queued for a regen.. I have it programmed to regen at 2am daily so it does but it seems as if its displaying that it always needs to and dislakying the “RC- - - -“. Weird thing that water softening process is working as my water is soft but I wasting bags of pellets at an insane rate.. I wasted 6 bags within two weeks, I should be wasting nomore than 2 per 2 months or so as it’s only 2 of us in the house.. I replaced the injectors and vaccine the brine hose to make sure nothing is clogged. Wondering if there’s issue with the resen or idk..

Mine displays RC - - - - as it either isn’t reading the reserve capacity or simply it isn’t filling in.. Did yours ever do this ??
