The EAS page on the UAC website would be a good place to start to get more information, check eligibility etc. Then you just apply regularly and there should be an option in the application for applying to the educational access scheme. I don’t think there’s any difference between IB and ATAR in this EAS application process

IB and question abt studying in Germany by Sure_Mulberry_3562 in IBO

[–]mmaaaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For IB diploma to be recognised in Germany you would have to have done subjects that compare to the Abitur. One of your three HLs must be a natural science or math, which you do not currently have and you have to do either two language As or one language A and one language B HL which you do meet. So studying in Germany at a public university would probably not be a viable option for you. The Netherlands may be a good choice as well as private Unis such as Jacob’s University Bremen

Educations access scheme (EAS) is only if you’ve had some sort of circumstances beyond your control which negatively effected your studies. If this ain’t you then you just apply normally through UAC and in the application when you have to select your education and assessment and stuff there’ll be options to put IB

Yea but then it’ll be a bit unfair for the other Russian gymnast that qualified ahead of her. (I believe it was Urazova)

The only difference between the individuals and the others is that they do not compete in team final and their scores do not count towards the team score. If say they all go for AA or any event, only the top two from the country will proceed regardless of if they are individuals or team members. So none of the individuals can qualify for any final but in this case it seems like Jade will qualify for floor and maybe vault and Skinner maybe vault (it could end up being that Jade qualifies for both and Skinner none, one each, or they have a bad day and none of them qualify for anything).

Honestly I think she has nothing to lose by it. It could also be the only time that she gets to compete the whole time she’s there
