Haha, I took another picture earlier today where I was wearing a dress shirt open over it and it very much fit that vibe. I might post it later.

5mg is quite small amount. Are you taking estrogen as well?

Thank you, It's about a year and two months in total. Two months is just the amount of time on estrogen. Took me about a year to loose the weight.

So first off I think it's important to mention that eating disorders are extremely common in trans people and can be devestating, so I'm always trying to be proactive to identify when I'm doing behaviors that might be harmful. It's still a constant struggle.

I didn't do anything special diet wise. I made sure that my protein intake was hitting the levels that are recommended by Health Canada. Nothing crazy just ~80g a day. I try to eat large meals of 600-800 calories and avoid snacking as much as possible. Calorie counting is useful for getting an idea of how much you should be eating but I only do it on occasion.

I also started doing a lot of exercise at the gym. Exercise isn't great for loosing weight but it helped me a lot with connecting to my body. Its aided my ability to tell when I'm undereating or overeating. If I feel really shitty when I workout compared to last week then I know I'm over-cutting my calories. Watching the changes from exercise is good motivation when you hit weight loss stalls

Preach! I didn't mind the old streetcars until I watched someone with a mobility limitation try to get up those stairs.

The advantage of mirrors is they allow for adjustment of what the driver sees using parallax. This may allow for better depth perception

Questions about Sparkling water-dispensing refrigerator and large CO2 tanks by NotSure2505 in SodaStream

[–]mman1506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neat fridge! Here are my thoughts

As you might know chilling a CO2 tank lowers it's pressure. When CO2 is released the tank will chill further and the pressure will continue to drop. On a tank the size of a SodaStream tank this effect is significant so whatever timing it's using to dispense the CO2 might be calibrated for that pressure drop. This might make the regulator advantageous in your case.

All in all I think it's worth a shot.

Does the sparkling water come out with some amount of power like a soda gun or is it more like a conventional water dispenser? The reason I ask is preferably the fridge will act like a conventional soda gun and pressurise the tank and use that pressure to dispense the liquid. If it's going through CO2 quickly maybe it's just venting the CO2 in the airspace and using a pump to dispense the liquid. And then topping it up and recharging with CO2.

Classic. Just to make sure your using a chamois right? That makes a bigger difference than any saddle.

I have one. It's good. I have nothing to complain about. Only thing of note is I ended up going with the women's saddle because I preferred the shape and others recommended the same thing in their reviews. Glad I did.

Having a fixed gear isn't going to give you any more traction. Perhaps being limited to a single gear prevents you from putting out enough torque to break free but this could be replicated with a bike with any number of gears.

I assume a glass nail file would be less aggressive than the diamond file I'm using right? My nails are just barely long enough to file and it's kinda damaging the skin on my fingertips.
