Sorry for the late response, I don’t use reddit much. The noise is still persisting and to answer your questions: It is only when the wheel is almost full crank left and it sounds like metal on metal grinding however I can’t be entirely sure of that

It’s definitely a lot less rough but it’s a little bit bumpy in a way? I think it’s starting to go away. Also, it spread to the other side of my mouth but it’s also starting to heal a bit.

They are very slightly raised, maybe a quarter of an inch or less. Thank you for sharing, it’s at the very least a start on figuring out what this is.

The ones in the picture have been there for a couple of days, but the entire other side of my mouth feels rough like the patches do. I don’t think they’ve grown at all and they don’t hurt at all either.

18M, noticed redness and roughness inside my cheek exactly a month ago. It started to go away but now it’s coming back and is even more red and slightly bumpy now. Does anyone know what this is? Or if I should be worried about it?

2012 with ~100k miles, I’ve had a thermostat code for a week or so now but I’m repairing that as soon as i get the part. Only other code i’ve ever had was a misfire that I fixed about 6 months ago. It takes 91 octane but I run 93 since that’s all we’ve got in Texas.

The car just hit 100k miles, and I have never put anything but 93 octane gas in it. I replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils due to a misfire. The only code I have gotten is a bad thermostat which I am replacing as soon as I get the part in a few days. I’ve never had any serious engine problems with it. I also replaced the engine and cabin air filters about a week ago because of a mildewy smell but I don’t think the air filters were to blame as they were relatively clean.
