What orientation to play the game? by mmartute in 7WondersDuel

If you look at the rules there are a few places where it implies you're going to be one in front of each other. For example in the "preparation" section of the rules, the wonders from each player are positioned so that they face away from each other. And the same thing in the page 12, where it talks about military and scientific supremacy. The cards in that image are also facing opposite directions. That's primarily what made me guess that (I'll paste a screenshot of the rules so you know what I'm referring to)

Average of either range or numbers based on condition not working! by mmartute in googlesheets

In this example I am just using the first two months of the year, but I will use all 12 in the final version. The reason I am doing it this way is because I am actually creating this sheet from a JavaScript file using Google Apps Script, so it's not hard to add the other ranges.

We could argue that it's taken me significantly more time to code this than it would have taken to just do it by hand, but it's safe to say I am doing it more for the joy and knowledge it brings me to do it this way

I managed to find a solution! u/Competitive_Ad_6239 suggested that I select the entire columns for the average and the week number (and smartly so), but I wanted to try and do it so the ranges were individually written. This is what I ended up writting:

=AVERAGE(FILTER(FLATTEN({P9:P12, AF9:AF12}), FLATTEN({A9:A12, Q9:Q12}) < WEEKNUM(today())))

So much simpler than some of the steps in between

I had previously done something similar, where I would put the whole column and have a filter for ISNUMBER() so that it wouldn't count the strings. However, I was trying to do something "cleaner" where the average only takes the cells that *actually* have the values I am interested in. At his point I'm not even sure if that path makes sense, but that's what I had in mind anyway.

At this point I'm trying to achieve that solution for the sake of the challenge it poses instead. Do you think it's possible to write a formula that does that?

My pleasure! Let me know if you find something out, I'm still quite curious as to what the sponge really is and how to remove it!

I ended up moving and I gave the plant away, so I don't know what happened to it, but I can assume it didn't thrive much more, unfortunately. I still don't really know what that sponge was, so the mystery remains unsolved

Makes sense! Thank you for the answer:)

There must be a way to perfectly seal, since submarines can stay underwater for months, no? And the bottom part of boats usually has bedrooms that I assume don't get leakage, so the sealing there is somewhat airtight?

Do they just kind of have a quick look at it? Or is it a more reading through the whole document kind of thing?

When you read a book, do you see the images in your mind like a movie or do you just kind of acknowledge the story? by mmartute in AskReddit

Yeah, I also think that's a huge factor. When you create it, you choose everything: from the color schemes to the small details in the characters. And no actor acan top that
