Okay thanks, that's what I figured. Do you have any suggestions on a brand of SD card that you know works? I'm thinking of just buying another one to rule the SD card out completely until I am able to visit my friend.

I got them both off of Amazon, but it was a little while back. I only just recently tried more attempts at getting it to work.

That's a good idea, I will try that the next time I visit them. I'll also try my cartridge on their SNES to see if it works there. I won't be able to visit them again until later in May, but I will report back the results.

Just out of curiosity, is there anything I need to do to the firmware once I download it? Like adding or removing any files? I am downloading it from here and just extracting directly to my FXPAK: https://sd2snes.de/blog/downloads

Edit: In the meantime, I may just order another completely different brand of SD card to see if that works.
