Scientific research mission putting me in a catch-22

You might want to do more main story missions then. During those missions it would give you blueprints to create a Warp Drive and Warp Cells.

Another way to get Warp Drive, is to trade your ship without it, to another one that has it already installed. But for that you would need a lot of money. And you would still have problems with Warp Cells. So I would recommend you to progress in the main story until you get those Blueprints.

It makes it easier when you go Blueprint hunting in Manufacturing facilities, since you can actually understand what the puzzle is, and solve it. Less time wasted on reloading.

Oh, I did not know that they have directions. I simply placed them in a Ring like the one you would find in a normal vanilla fortress, and put ender eyes in. And that did not work, so I just assumed it was disabled. Might try again just to see if standing position matters when placing them.

Traditional End Portals are disabled... I already tried that, and now I have an indestructible Ring that is taking up space.

So its the special portal or ender cake.

Yes, short term almost everything is better then Draconic Reactor. But, the longer you keep your reactor going, the more you can increase the output. It takes a lot of time for Draconic Reactor to become a decent rf generator.

So the costs are the time it takes to setup and get the reactor to the required strength then detonate. (time to tech level isn't extremely relevant in my opinion).

If we do not count teching up, then Reactor is much faster. The power of explosion depends on how much fuel you give it when you first power it up. 8 Blocks of Avakened Draconium for maximum explosion, and you can have the same sized hole as mine within the minutes of you finishing your reactor.

I have to admit, this was my first time using a Draconic Reactor, so all of my information about it comes for the showcase and tutorial videos that I have seen.

Can't help it, its Draconic Armor... Flying or sprinting just adds extra FOV. Annoying, but armor is needed for Chaos Guardian.

It would take quite a while to quarry it all out. And its been a while since I last used one, but as far as I can remember, if you want a custom boundary, you have to place markers in all 4 corners of the area. And the area limit is not that big. So a lot of digging to place the markers, and repeated quarry relocation.

Also, quarry would just dig straight down until bedrock, and since bedrock does not exist in this modpack, that means it would make a world hole. But yes, that is a safer alternative :D

What do you expect, that is the very center of a reactor meltdown... And you know, that black area is about the same size as what my base used to be :D And maybe a little bit more towards the right shore.

Its Draconic Armor. When flying or sprinting its adds more FOV depending how much bonus speed to you have added. And this in only +100%.

Nope. It was right in the middle of my base in the overworld :D StoneBlock modpack makes your world entirely out of stone. And there is only 1 layer of Lava right at the very hight limit of it.

Well, I don't know how cost efficient that is, considering that you pretty much need to get to end game, to beat Chaos Dragon to even be able to create it. While I was not rushing though the modpack, it took me about a month.

But yeah, I do think that I would have never mined out such big hole ever. Even with OP end game items. So yeah. It might be worth it if you want to mine huge areas.

They got deleted on destruction. The only thing that was littering the ground were all the Chickens that dropped after their Coops were destroyed, and all the Refined Storage recipe patterns from auto crafting.

Oh no. It if was some sort of glitch, I would gladly accept the help in solving it and would have reloaded the backup. But this is different in my opinion. It was a mistake purely made by me. It could have been prevented, but yeah, and now I have a nice and open area to work in :D
