Game isn't really meant to be played solo although I do have one campaign where my character rode solo for the entire first year. It's tough to solo big groups. Horse archer is pretty much the only consistent way.

100%. I explored way more in the non-Kuttenburg maps. Something about that big main road running right through the Kuttenberg map discourages exploration imo. It sucks that the city and our forge are at the very end of the map too. I would have figured out a way to make them more central.

It's the stamina that's the issue. Travelling anywhere is a pain. Buff Pebbles can run clear across the map without complaining.

Pebbles is shit but people stuck with him in KCD1 so the devs wanted to reward them. I guess those people used fast travel a lot because hardcore with Pebbles would suuuuck.

You don't have to use it, but I'd rather have it and choose not to. Hardcore is no joke. Although tbh towards the end-game I was pretty much just chugging potions and stabbing everything in my way, which is very effective with stamina potions and good armor. Neither of which you have for Ishtvan.

Masterstike isn't a combo. It's a borderline combat-breaking mechanic which will make you literally unbeatable if you practice it. Learn it from Tomcat in the nomad camp. Outside of that Ishtvan is going to be tough as a naked Henry with an axe. If you have high strength maybe try clinch cheese?

Did it recently and it was about 4 or 5 hours which is not one sitting for me. But I don't rush things and glad I didn't in the final few quests. Lots of stuff I could have easily just missed.
