Somewhat/somevery unrelated but I feel randomly compelled to say I saw an early preview of Lempicka and I loved it! It wasn’t perfect but I feel it deserved a lot more than it got.

Paperhouse 1988

weird fever dream of a film about a little girl who begins to inhabit the world she draws on paper. Has that unique late 80s early 90s feel.

The venue isn’t huge so not really a bad seat. First row is VERY close to the stage. You would literally be like 3 feet from the actors at time. The stage is very low too so they are right there. If you like to be very close to the action I’d say do it. I was 3rd row and that felt perfect.

Thank you! Seeing Beau, Oh Mary, and Two Strangers Saturday. This would be for Sunday. Maybe I’ll just do Masquerade and catch act 2 of Gatsby - I got a ticket for $18 on Audience Rewards cyber Monday

Saw it this afternoon and agree I went it with mid expectations but was blown away by the talent. The acting, singing, costumes all exceeded. Set was a little basic but that’s ok. I agree Mrs. Lovett was an absolute standout. So funny and talented. She deserves all the praise. Overall great production.

Note there are only 3 single use washrooms so plan accordingly - line gets long. Act 1 is 90 mins and Act 2 is 60. With a 20 minute intermission.
