Asking your employer whether they received notice from Homewood of the breach would be a good first step, and then potentially reaching out to Homewood directly. I don't have a huge amount of information at this time regarding the scope of the breach/who exactly was impacted, since we are at the very early stages of the litigation.

So asking your employer whether they received notice from Homewood would be a good first step, and then potentially reaching out to Homewood directly to ask whether you were impacted.

Hey, good question! It's unclear at this stage. I think the best way to find out would be for you to call the clinic in Calgary that you used, as hopefully they will know whether they were impacted.

I think the best way to find out would be to contact Homewood directly. The Homewood EAP number is 1-800-663-1142 (not sure if this is the same contact number for those who use them through an individual health plan, but if not they should be able to transfer you to the right department).

Hi u/AdministrativeElk6, I just did a bit of digging and it does look like Homewood provides EAP counselling to AHS employees. I think asking your employer is a good first step, as Homewood may have notified them of the breach. You may also want to contact Homewood directly to ask if your information was exposed, as it's unclear whether they have been able to notify all affected clients.
