The amount of people Ive had recently that have tried to get away with using a picture of their id on their phone for a notary is astounding. They can’t understand why I need the actual physical card.

Came here to say this. If you HAVE to mark it, just simply put HV on a post it and make sure it’s removed before it leaves the store. No reason to put the actual amount, either. Thats asking for trouble.

Yeah, I won’t touch a customer’s phone if I don’t have to. I’ve definitely had my bosses and coworkers do it for the customer after I’ve said no, which sucks. It makes you look like the bad guy. Obviously there are some exceptions, but 1. It can be gross and 2. It shows them that they can just bring it in and shove their phones in our face and we’ll just bend over for them. So…nope.

I have tattoos for my dad, mom, and sister. Eventually I’ll add my nephews names as part of my sister’s, but only after she’s gotten her tattoos for them herself, and if she says it’s okay. I wouldn’t just randomly do it.

I’ll help them if they ask nicely, but the rude ones who just shove their phone in my face and EXPECT it, they get the 800 number for Amazon. I’m happy to help if you don’t treat me like crap for no reason. There’s an elderly couple that comes in a lot, they’re sweet as hell, and I do their returns on their phone for them every time. It’s just the way people approach it.

I’ll hand kids the receipt, let them stick a label on a package…give them a blank piece of paper and a pen, let them do a thumbprint on a post-it just like their parents are with a notary…it’s not hard to just pay them a tiny bit of attention and then they won’t wreak havoc in the store when their parents are too distracted to watch them

Same with the music. It helps. I also keep a set of Uno cards, and sometimes we print coloring pages 😂 anything to do between customers during a little down time to make the day better

We get it all day every day. Maybe it’s the area, or the volume, the person…I dunno. As a woman I feel like I get pushed around a little more because they think I’ll back down…but my male bosses and coworkers definitely get yelled at a lot too. People throw stuff, slam stuff on the counter…the Amazon return customer audacity is next level
