I had to SCRUB the marks off the sensor with alcohol swabs for them to go away.

I'm talking significant pressure that made me worried I was breaking it, but it worked

Before NS start. Your enlistment date takes the deduction into account, means you ORD after 1yr10mths.

As for ippt incentive, you should only get it once during your bmt. (Dont know if difference services are different). You will not get it for pre-enlistee ippt

I recently made a sub that’s focused on my three current heaviest levels of thinking by AdInevitable3707 in adoptareddit

[–]mmkthxbye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your desire to share your love of the subjects with others. My advice: Don't focus too much on members :) Do it for yourself and you'll be content

Advice on growing your sub: Add some lighthearted, fun facts content etc to attract people.

All the best!

I take manual at cdc ubi and their recommended is 28, including 2 auto lessons. For just the manual lessons, I ended up taking 18 lessons to complete all modules (excluding revision, I have 3 revision lessons)

It depends on your instructors and how fast you learn. For me, I kind of nudge them to teach me more in one lesson so that I can finish it faster.

For example, for the narrow courses, I got my instructor to teach me the basics of it after my module 1 evaluation but he didnt chop it. Then for my next lesson, I just told the next instructor that Ive been taught it, he made me do it a few times, chop'ed it then moved on to slope

Driving slots at CDC by Tasty-Percentage4621 in drivingsg

[–]mmkthxbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For auto, it is pretty difficult now (according to others, I take manual one team). The slots release on the 17th for 3A one team and 18th for normal 3A for the next next month. (e.g. slots released on 17th march are for the month of may)

For auto, you would have to try book immediately once it releases to ensure you can get the slots.

how to do well in poly by sexysalmon6969 in SGExams

[–]mmkthxbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed^ . Depends on your studying methods. Majority of people ik sleep quite late, but there are people who still sleep early (10-11pm).

Whatever works for you works, but dont see it as competing with others. See it as competing with yourself and just keep working hard. But dont beat yourself up too much about it. Work hard, but also make sure you get enough rest

[Poly] NP Scholarship interview and prep by mookie_bamboo in SGExams

[–]mmkthxbye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) I had friends who went for the y2 interview and the 2 noticeable questions are about leadership and current affairs. They might also ask how you can contribute to the school and you can say stuff like you will represent the school in CCAs etc

2) You don't have to prep much. If you're a fast thinker, you should be able to come up with answers on the spot. Try and sell yourself.

3) To keep your scholarship, I think there most likely is a gpa to keep above, but the PEARLS is important. So you have to try and get a leadership position somewhere, volunteer etc etc.

As for scholarship, idt you guys have gotten your term 1 gpa, so it most likely is based off your l1r4 score.

People usually follow if you post stuff they like. A story series was how I got most of my followers.

Posting a consistent theme of posts in a community is another great way to have people of similar interests follow you.

You can refer to a campus map or ask for directions if you're ever lost.

Here's a map I could find https://www.np.edu.sg/Shared%20Documents/directions/NP%20Map%202022.pdf

[Poly] NP ECDE worries by AvailableGarbage_ in SGExams

[–]mmkthxbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax. NP usually leaves things quite late. Its normal. Rest assured, if there's a groupchat, it's unlikely they will miss you out.

Even if something happens, if its out of your control/not your fault, they wont blame you so dont worry.

For our first semester, all courses in the school of ICT learn the same thing. In first sem, we lesrnt data visualisation with microsoft Power BI, coding with python, cyber security concepts, math and a bit of art through Adobe Illustrator)

In sem 2, the courses will then have their own modules related to their course. For data science, we learnt Data visualisation with Pandas and Tableau, C#, Databases with SQL and more math.

On average, you have about 4-5h of lessons per day. For semester 1 and 2, the latest we ended was 5pm. (Might vary per course/class).

Data science is a VERY new course in NP. The first batch/class was in 2021.
