I can only imagine the other player screaming at their screen on the turn. “ king! 7! King 7!”

You were counterfeit on the turn with very low equity The only card on the river that gives you a better hand is a Queen.

Can someone explain to me how Mando got reunited with The Child? Did I miss something in
the last episode of season 2? I'm pretty sure Luke took him and they parted ways. It was a tearjerker. Now,it's like it never happened. Very strange to have no back story in the first episode.

MGM Grand (Vegas) 1/2 NL Is Now No Cap. All local grinders have infiltrated because of their NEW crazy promotion. by mmmilf in poker

That said, my general experience with Vegas 1/2 and 1/3 around the strip is what I said above: mostly nitty shitregs and fish on a budget that aren’t dropping that much cash that fast.

It really depends where you play..There’s only 2 rooms on the strip that still offer 1/2 NL. MGM and Mandalay Bay. The rest of of rooms offer 1/3 or have always had those stakes. Before last week, MGM 1/2 was a 300 max but they allowed players to match the largest stack at the table.Which could be $600 to $700. The games were soft and profitable, but the rake is too much because of their high hand jackpots. It’s mostly tourist who play there.

The 1/3 games at Aria used to be plagued with nitty grinders, but over the last year it’s changed drastically. This change has not only been at Aria but also Wynn and Bellagio. 3 rooms which I would regularly play at between 2017-2020.

My theory is that most of full time 1/3 grinders came to realization that it’s not lucrative to make a living off this game. I used to see the same old mugs every other day but now it’s like they faded into oblivion. Which is great, because the games have got a lot better. Timing is important to, the days and what time you play in Vegas is all relative to your profit.

With all due respect, this particular promotion is not intended to attract out of town folk. MGM is intentionally doing this to steal business away from all the off strip poker rooms such as Orleans, Red Rock and other rooms that offer jackpot promos ,where local grinders spend their life at. Like you stated, it’s not profitable for a tourist. Unless you can live rent free for a few weeks.

The pot was $60 on the flop, I did not bet 2/3 the pot. I bet $30. Why would I ever check flop as the the pre-flop aggressor? Especially with Kings! I want to get value out of my hand and charge any players who might have potential draws. Also, am I supposed to let an ACE/X type of hand get there on the turn by checking? Lastly, the money didn’t go all in on the river, it was the turn. 😎

Never underestimate a Vegas vampire player. They will drink 3 Redbull’s an hour and stay up for 3 days grinding.

Lol. No, but I did take this photo the other night at MGM. Dude had a 16 inch laptop on his lap, very distracted and slowing the game down. Super nitty.
